The choice is identical for williams and BMW alike - pick the faster driver that will deliver more points! So BMW might want to have a say, but under what circumstances would their say differ from Williams'?

I don't think their criteria would be any different, I was only making the point that the PR line that 'it's up to Williams' is nonsensical given BMW's financial risk in the project.

If however JB does go to Team Willy in 2006...AP will have to stand down!

Whoever partners Mark Webber, as a driver pairing it'll be pretty weak compared to that at McLaren...

The Williams guys are cool, calm and calculating, but still indecently quick. While the McLaren boys are fast, natural and sometimes eratic racers. Will be a very interesting proposition. Make no mistake though, Webber and Heidfeld have exactly what it takes to take it right up to the McLaren pairing. |

Put it this way, if BMW recommended Yoong, do you think we would see him in the car? Quote:
This is the top level of motorsport, and the top end of the grid. There is no room for drivers that dont/cant deliver. I think Mark will, in spades, but if either of his potential team mates blow him away, he deserves (like anyone else) to be given the boot. Not gonna happen though |

I feel Nick would have to be quite a bit slower than AP to not get the seat. BMW want a German in their car. Its like Sato and Honda. If they can get a quick German why would they not race him.
