Don't get too excited DJ because having read the report amazingly it is a Class B car?????????!!!!!!!!!!!

Not still 100% sure how an ex-works DTM car that will have had literally 100's of thousands of pounds thrown at ends up in Class B in a clubby championship like this and up against the self built efforts of us mere mortals but there you go who am I to comment but it does make you wonder if I should have left the moths in peace in my wallet instead of having a big spend up to try to get on the pace. Where's that wall to bang my head against:-)

at one time you could enter touring car in class B provided it fitted the regs, for the last few years we have kept them out by virtue of banning sequential gearboxes from all but class A.

Greg Roses car has been fitted with a normal H pattern box so it does fit as long as it complies with the rest of the regs also which i believe it does, he's taken us all by suprise.

but as has been said may times before this championship evolves and the Barc sec committee are happy to take on board any ideas and suggestions put forward.

Fair enough Graham, could all be down to the driver of course, I have seen that before.

We had the same thing in Mod Prods and our rules were more stringent. We had an ex-Ian Khan Vauxhall and an ex-Brock Holden Commodore both supposedly de-tuned for our regs but I must admit I spotted some components on at least the Commodore cars that would never have been fitted to a road car however as I say the DTRC rules are a lot more flexible so they would have probably been OK in this championship.

As promised, pictures are now online at http://alfaholic.fotopic.net/c943681.html

Most were taken during qualifying when it was cold and dark (and before I'd had coffee) so the quality is not the best.

It would be nice for it to stay and add even more variety to the mix of cars already competing. I'm sure Rod appreciates a good scrap. As for eligibility that is a matter for the eligibility scrutineer and the TRC powers that be; I personally could see nothing wrong with the car when giving it the once over.

Has Rule 5.4.7 ever been invoked? If it was I am sure that would help even things out a little if anyone/car is seriously over dominate.

There are two cars in class C (Honda and Peugeot) that should be made to carry at least 3 tonne of ballast each at Snetterton.

And if I still can't catch them they can have another 3 tonne each for Lydden

Sod off grumps. It's bad enough with the wife calling me a Geek, without you starting..

Anyway, your wish is my command master. It's at the bottom of the Silverstone report.
Is this going to be a regular thing, because I have been thinking.

Don't YOU'VE BEEN FRAMED pay good money for these kind of things :

If only you could get the car to do a wheelie and then to have the front wheels fall off you would be sorted for life.
