2011 Japanese Super GT

Sorry if it was already mentioned, but I noticed that the WEC round in Fuji is on October 14th, which is also the date of the 7th round of Super GT in Autopolis. Autopolis and Fuji are pretty far apart so the spectators may not overlap that much, but on the other hand, the Japanese motorsport community (teams, media, officials, etc) will be torn between the two, my guess being that most people will go down to Autopolis, leaving the WEC very much a transplant event with minimal fuss. This is not very clever.
Has there been an update on either side that I missed of is it still the case ?

According to http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...EC#post3005143 JAF might reschedule the 2012 Super GT calendar in order to avoid overlap with WEC, probably because Toyota wants to use some of their Super GT drivers in the WEC races.

Thanks. I forgot about that mention. It sounds reasonable. Even with a limited program, Toyota has to be in the Japanese round of WEC from 2012. We'll wait for the new calendar then.

I'm sure he realises it's a mock up. The wheels give it away. Plus it'll be the Ultra which looks different and seems wider. I wonder if the front winglets will be allowed?
