Pro Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
well this tread has finally reached the 1000 post mark .

Go Talk would fit nicely on a GRM car, what happened to Bezzy being an all but confirmed starter in #9?

I know this is a bit off topic but if anyone wants to know how the Waldens last did when they were in the V8's, check out this blast from the past. http://waldenmotorsport.netfirms.com/. See this and see why they are having trouble breaking it back in to the full timers.

SBR have at least taken Russ off of their homepage, leaving just Courtney for Maingame #4 and Webb for DV8 #94

If you tell the shopkeeper you have $9 today, and will pay him the other $1 tomorrow.. he will do one of two things... either let you leave the premises with the goods, based on your word, and contractual arrangement... or tell you to get stuffed and send you out of his shop empty handed.

If you presume shopkeepers are good blokes, and let you have the chocolates...

....if you havent paid the shopkeeper his $1, and he gets poopy at you for not paying, despite promises from you to pay, when you come back to buy another $10 box of chocolates for next year, with another $9 in your pocket... past experience will likely not give you a good hearing, presuming you are actually allowed to go into the shop!!

Jumping up and down about cost containment is very funny when it comes from people with $2m transporter setups, or workshops that are several sizes too big, or where there are literally dozens of people in the pit garage that dont actually seem to have a job touching oily bits....

How does a non-factory assisted team like IRCA, with their surprisingly small budget manage to be more competitive that factory supported operations from both sides of the fence? With less people touching the oily bits than some teams have in their catering departments? When you have very little to work with, necessity becomes the mother of all invention... the car always looked well presented, always had 4 wheels on it... all done without palm trees in the corners....

I also wouldnt be taking PWR as the shining example as to confirming the sport is in trouble... alleged political machinations, an alleged inability to see the writing on the wall, reported constant personnel upheaval, alleged technical difficulties.... and the alleged distraction of control component supply are allegedly just the beginning of the issues....
What you have written is very true, we must reach the thin EDGE OF THE WEDGE very soon.........

Maybe both teams and/or sponsors are wanting to make a public event of an announcement rather than a midnight piece of teletext. You know, get the TV stations to come and have a look.

Maybe BJR's sponsor arrangements are not in place yet. Don't make the big driver news until the signwriting is in place. The newspapers maybe be interested in the names, but the team want the names standing next to a car with fresh stickers.

The GRM thread is saying Steve Owen to the #34. But Ellery to TKR? How do the Kiwi sponsors reconcile that?
