14 hours in and both cars running their times. My hat is off to them. Literally, my Glick hat is now sitting on the tv stand.

Both cars got to the finish, which is an achievement in itself.
I just hope we will see them run again. It's clear they need more track time. |

I think they did really well. First year, car looks great, had its moments too.
Need to work on the driveability and keep gaining experience... |

Not as quick, as I was hoping for, and as they looked a few days ago, but at the same time both cars turned out to be more reliable than could be realistically expected... from any new car really!
I hope to see these beauties racing again very soon. |

Exceptional job. Best looking cars in the field by a country mile. A bit more speed and they really could have embarrassed the big boys. But finishing as close as they did to the winners (and Alpine) in their first Le Mans was a feat that many manufacturers would love to emulate.

It’s a really, really incredible effort and achievement. Such a shame that such reliability and consistency in the dry wasn’t rewarded with more.
Finishing ahead of the LMP2s with both cars in their first year really is not something to turn your nose up to. Well done Glickenhaus!! |

Couldn't agree more. I don't think any of us thought they would have such a reliable run. I fully expected at least one of them to DNF and the other to be mid table. It's testament to how well they designed, engineered and ran the car.

Glickenhaus Hypercar
Well done on getting both to the finish and recovering to 4th and 5th after earlier. Also thanks to Jim for bringing us the best looking Hypercar with a nice livery, which reminds me of Toyotas livery in the late 90s

ironically despite similiarities, there are 2 different reasons about those red/white liveries... glickenhaus 007, just like one of 4 ford gt of 2019LM, has that livery to pay homage to american sportscars that had a classic red-white stripes livery before red was almost exclusively associated to ferrari racing cars, toyota gt-one had that livery because of marlboro subliminal sponsorship |

Yes the red and white is very Marlboro like on the Glickenhaus, even if the red and white is for different reasons as you say

re the tshirt mob: At one point I thought a saw a similarly sized vinyl piece that looked like thin lines. It was probably the shirt mob names done in 3pt font. Probably not a purchase I would remake. |

That would make sense there was a lot of names!
I’d do it again. The T-Shirt is ace. The name thing was a bonus and I wasn’t expecting anything more. Certainly did. This is a great point. |

I would have bought a t-shirt - and still would - if the shipping didn't cost as much as the shirt. A European distribution point next season would be really useful and would help them to shift quite a lot of merchandise, I suspect. If Radio Show Ltd can do it, surely Glickenhaus can.....?

What I found interesting is that Toyota was getting slower and slower towards the end, whilst the 007 LMHs actually kept finding speed. Can't help but think what could have been if the team had a more productive Thursday.

I was going to look at that at some point. Never really clocked it during the race.
I wasn’t hopeful of seeing anything for Toyota. Early part of the race was disrupted by incidents and conditions. #8 had an issue in the night where it lost some downforce. And both had difficult running with the drivers managing an issue. But Glick did seem to just improve all race. |

Well i enjoyed seeing them race and hearing those engines roar past us, it was a real shame that one was not on the podium but overall a great race, so thank you Jim for giving us something to cheer for, as all the french appeared to be very strongly supporting the Alpine.

At the point Toyota were slowing, they were managing their issues. IIRC, the 007s more or less matched the GR010's pace in the last hour?

At some points 007s were faster, in fact, towards the end GR010 were at times significantly slower than the leading LMP2 cars. That's when both cars struggled with the fuel pickup problem.

Absolutely, single lap pace probably quicker than I was expecting too. Getting both cars to the end is really impressive and quite promising for the first proper test. Really well done to the team for their hard work.

So what will the SCG Hypercars being doing for the next 7 months or so now. Can the team do much with the cars at this point with their homologation? More chassist to be built perhaps?
