Maybe that is indication it will be called simply "Lola-Aston Martin LMP1". Because earlier this week it was only "Lola" on that same page. |

No - David Richards has said specifically that they will make an announcement ref the Aston Martin designation and that it will have relevance to the 50th anniversary of the 1959 LM24 win

Heh, DBR59, a name I had thought of several years ago while doodling Aston Martin LMPs in school.

Why not DR-R for David Richards Racing? |

They're already mucked about with Aston Martin's traditional naming schemes, they don't need to start messing with the DBs.

John Brooks (Speedhunters.com):
"Lola's owner and Chairman, Martin Birrane told me that they had offered to share the IPR of the car if half of the development cost of in excess of £4.5 million was paid over to Lola. Given that Aston Martin was in the process of reducing their workforce by 600 (out of a total of 1,800) it is not surprising that they were not in a position to make that kind of financial deal. So the contract was signed and the car would be known as a Lola Aston Martin LMP1, which is what was homologated by the FIA and ACO." http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009...rtin-lmp1.aspx |

That really shows how small the view is out of the front glass. I can't imagine if that windshield started to get dirty.

Dont know what happened here , but Gigawave have pulled out . Now there is little chance of a decent DBR9 given that LLH is first named driver for JetAlliance .
Amazing , how a great car like a DBR9 has petered out !!! |
