Takeshi Tsuchiya had bought 86MC by almost all his budget.
And Team Tsuchiya (#25) had got the 2016 series champion. Then, the team set the new goal. It's to step up to GT500 as a team. Only the manufacturer related teams can participate in GT500 now. But Tsuchiya wants to compete with them as privateer. He says that if some manufacturers supply them a GT500 chassis, that's a welcome, and if there are "GT500 mother chassis" regulations for privateer, it's ideal. But he needs a partner who compete together. The condition that he can't compromise in GT500 challenge is car number #25 and driver Takamitsu Matsui. If Team Tsuchiya win the GT300 championship for this year , they still need to retain Takamitsu Matsui . I think Team Tsuchiya has very long relationship with TOYOTA and Yokohama. And If they want to step up to GT500 . They might used Lexus LC500 to participate, its that right? |

It's difficult to think that Lexus supplies the 7th chassis.
And Tsuchiya can't afford to buy the chassis. |

Yes.
Haruo Tsuchiya (Takeshi Tsuchiya's father) was a team director at the time. But current (2nd gen) Tsuchiya Engineering is another company (Samurai Co,. ltd.) by Takeshi Tsuchiya. |

1 victory (2005) & occasionally scored top-3 finishes (2002,2003,2004). In 2006, the team still used Supra GT500 (together with #66 triple a SARD) although the rest of Toyota squad already had SC430. Hopefully when Team Tsuchiya returns to GT500 again, they will be more competitive. Last edited by hvr777; 2 Oct 2017 at 02:29. |

That would be cool to see the team step up in GT500, but looks like he needs a partner. So maybe a new manufacturer would be willing?

So it means that the the business for the second generation Tsuchiya Engineering is the maintenance garage and the car servicing right? Speaking about Team Tsuchiya , I think the team has the relationship with Toyota or Lexus during the first generation of Tsuchiya Engineering. But Lexus is unlikely supplies them for the 7th chassis of LC500 . Unless one of the team is withdrawing and scale back the program for TOM'S . But this condition is unlikely happened. Speaking about Team SARD, it's that true that Team SARD has very long relationship with Toyota or Lexus even they have the alliance with Team Taisan which is not Toyota vehicles. I think the prospect of facing the management and having to explain one self would outweigh any financial penalties. |

According to Team Studie BOB Suzuki blog,
he is now recruiting sponsor for next season. he says that much money will be needed next year because they must buy new chassis and there is a Suzuka 10 hours race. https://lineblog.me/studiebob/archives/9301398.html |

Why will they buy a new chassis next year?
Will they participate in a new category (Super Taikyu?) in addition to SGT? |

There is a different comms line up for Thailand Super GT this weekend. Ironically because I'm in Japan at the moment.

Speaking about the new chassis for the Suzuka 10 hours race. It's logical to buy the GT4 chassis for representing BMW in Intercontinental GT Series for next year for both GT3 and GT4 category just like BMW Team SRM purchase M4 GT4 in order to participate Bathrust 12 hours race. In addition, they also can participate SUPER TAIKYU race as well as affordable than GT3 car. Besides , it is unlikely having second chassis for M6 GT3 to participate Suzuka 10 Hours race. Because is too expensive to own . In additional, the final race of BMW M6 GT3 is in 2019. Speaking about ARTA , will they participate Suzuka 10 hours as well?????? But the problem is which car do they choose . HONDA NSX GT3 or they continue to used BMW M6 GT3???? How about your opinion??? Buriram race is due to start in 25 minutes, for anyone who's managed to power through Petit and possibly Bathurst and wants a final race for the weekend.
Someone won't like me saying this, but a podium here would put the #23 in a great position going into the final round at Motegi. Edit - It's properly wet as well. Not seen a wet Thai race yet. Leigh O'Gormann (he of "Quntelli" infamy) is on comms with Rob Barff today as Sam is in Japan. Last edited by J Jay; 8 Oct 2017 at 07:45. |

Both the Wedsport RC-F & Nismo GT-R are on slicks. Off the start they have almost immediately gone to the back of the GT300 field.
