And then there's the issue of high-five-figure upgrade packages that seem to come out every couple of years. SRO has somewhat cut down on that, but that is usually only good for one year. |

So as you may know, the Viper will be ending production. What will happen to their GT3 cars I don't know, so let's hope they get a long grandfather period.

PWC: Stan Knox/Lone Star Racing + Tim Pappas/Black Swan Racing Supercar Challenge: Rogier Grouwels/Team RaceArt Guessing the one that might show up in Super GT is Pappas' his car? Btw, Grouwels still owns one of the original C5-R's and it's been brought back to - what looks like - its original livery! Too bad he doesn't race it anymore... |

Courtesy of DSC. No big surprises other than Aston having more cars on track than I would have guessed. Having some fun with the exotic/rare models based on Coach Ep's Viper post. I'm assuming that any GT3 class car that showed up for any race this year was counted. Jaguar: BES Caddillac: 2X PWC Camaro: AusGT, ADAC GTM, (?) Ginetta: AusGT, BritGT, (?) Lexus: 2X VLN, SuperGT Ford: ADAC GTM, VLN, GT Asia, (?) |

It looks like the NSX Hybrid GT3 has the backing of ACO/FIA.
What a surprise! |

I dont think hybrids in FIA GT3 is a good thing especially with a lot of GT3 cars being run by privateer teams, there are the factory backed teams like WRT but they dont have to worry about being able to afford to buy and run the cars as such. And hybrid technology doesnt come cheap.
Theres no reason why Honda cant run the NSX without the hybrid system |

You can buy a hybrid for $30k. It doesn't have to be super complex and expensive. I think the street NSX will be cheaper than a Porsche GT3. Maybe Honda gives hybrid tech support to customers without much extra cost?

http://www.dailysportscar.com/2015/1...re-agenda.html I'm glad that the class is moving forward. Now it's up to GTE on doing the same. Last edited by MagVanisher; 6 Dec 2015 at 11:11. |

Renault Sport RS01 Trophy with GT3 package making its debut at Abu Dhabi in Gulf 12H (albeit around 8 seconds slower than in original trim...):

@rich07
I would like a successor to the Lister Storm (with V12 and all). But then again, a V12 engine wouldn't be competitive unlike 15 years ago. |
