Calsonic bad luck strikes again. They have had a terrible year.
Keeper Tom's wins from pole and takes the championship lead. Good race by them. |

It's been a poor race for Nissan all-round, the decision to start the #23 on slicks has possibly (probably) cost them the title. Take nothing away from Cassidy & Hirakawa though, two fine drives secure a compelling victory and the championship lead going into the ballast-free final round at Motegi.

Race is over now at Motegi! Congratulations to both No, 37 KeePer TOM'S LC500 and No. 51 JMS LMCorsa RC-F for winning in their respective classes.
Now then, next month's race would be interesting as Lexus Team TOM'S and Goodsmile Racing might win the championship in Motegi. |

According to Super GT File magazine,
Nissan had a trouble in stiffness in 1st engine. So they had introduced 2nd fresh engine early. And they were approved re-homologation of lower suspension arm. |

Super GT File magazine reports that;
3rd engine of Lexus in 2016 was "Motegi exclusive" engine. Lexus had a trouble in engine cooling in Summer season. However they didn't have to worry about cooling seasonally in Motegi round. And the engine mileage was also shaving the margin to the limit. |

I knew that, and I fear cost escalation as a result.

According to BOB Suzuki (#7) blog,
Suzuki thought he would withdraw from SGT if they couldn't win this season. But he is now considering SGT continuation because many people request him to continue SGT participation. https://lineblog.me/studiebob/archives/9302490.html |

But I hoped they will continue to participate SUPER GT for next year, and next year M6 GT3 have powerful evo update kit and I think they should changed the driver lineup as well to win at least one race and recruiting the sponsor is also the crucial factor in order to participate SUZUKA 10 HOURS RACE. |

Any explanations why Honda didn't send NSX & its driver to DTM race at Hockenheimring?

Very simple reason, that because NSX GT500 is mid engined car , and this car does not match the Class 1 regulation as compared to other cars. So they can't send them to Hockenheimring

I would prefer Toyota and Nissan to pour their cash into Super gt and forget about propping up the Germans

Without much work on setup laptimes under 1m30. According Kovalainen laptimes of 1m28 are possible. DTM did 1m31 in practice today.

2-3 seconds faster than DTM cars, huh. While it all comes down to GT500's Nippon Racing Engine, the Germans needs to step up when they make a common inline-4 turbocharged engine.

3 seconds is a big margin on that track. If class 1 happens, I hope they drop the spec tires used in DTM.

But DTM can't spend more on development when they poured their money onto marketing.
