Thanks for that.
The #1 Rebellion definitely receives a lighter penalty as a result of their late stop, regardless of the placing of the sister car. The relative benefit, if the #3 counts in the full-season standings, is equivalent to .073 seconds per lap over the #5 Ginetta. If it doesn't, it's .109 seconds per lap instead. |

So by 2024 they might be challenging for the win.

So left the race soon after 4 and listened to the podium celebrations on the radio as we left, as usual expecting everything to change after the race as the stewards decide who they wanted to win and who they did not like so who won? and who got penalised?

So you think the NASCAR/IMSA/IndyCar way of thinking - you know the one where cars failing post-race scrutineering or doing something else illegal are allowed to keep wins because it would otherwise 'confuse the fans' - would be better?

He didn't say that. It's not the ACOs fault, but there certainly has been a lot more post-race standings changes in the last couple of years.

Having already Keatinged the deserved LMP3 winner in the ELMS race on Saturday, perhaps they thought they should leave well alone.....

Ferrari No. 51 by mistake. The penalty was withdrawn, but too late as the car was already in the pit lane.

There was an LMP2 team which also said they were incorrectly penalised. Not sure if they took the penalty or not.

For a four hour race, I seemed to get a lot of photos ... There's a few from Friday and then the race. On Sunday I decided to just use the 70-200 lens and take my chances through the fences. |

There is a post race penalty, as Jarvis was judged by officials to be chiefly at fault for the collision with the #71 Ferrari. Jarvis has been given three penalty points on his WEC competitors license and a suspended stop and go penalty for the next three WEC races.

Looks like Britcar will be supporting this race next year. Can't complain about lack of variety here...
