There is a rumour on Grandprix.com, that Dave Richards is looking to buy Aston Martin.

I thought however that Aston had already been sold to Louis Vitton

Does anyone know anymore about this?

Today's Financial Times is carrying the same story, which probably lays the idea that it's already been sold to LVMH to rest. According the the FT Dave Richards, backed a US investment bank and a group of "wealthy investors", is offering about £450 million for the company and is up against Doughty-Hanson and Simon Halabi.

Grandprix.com also suggests that Dave Richards may be selling Prodrive to Ron Dennis who in turn would sell Mclaren to Mercedes.

I wonder where this would leave Aston Martin Racing?

Are you saying you have an occasional oxymoronic bent?
