I believe the VW Solberg was driving at the Cambrian Rally is the same car Osian Pryce used to win the event last year. It thus joins the 1968-69 Le Mans winning GT40 in the “back-to-back-wins-at-the-same-event” Hall Of Fame .

The Cambrian was the final round of the BRC - and Pryce & Cronin didn't enter. Which is what usually happens in the BRC.
However, it was a good event, and the two tarmac stages on Friday night were a good addition. |

https://www.wrc.com/en/news/2022/wrc...8-rally-japan/ Once the fire gets going there's no way they're putting that out with a hand held bottle - basically the onboard extinguishers are there to give you time to get out of the car rather than put the fire out. Is the new generation of cars more flamable with the composite bodywork and the battery packs? |
