That's fine, give the 2 mil to Parrera. He will be the better driver in the end IMO.

Don't know if this is news to anyone apart from me but Walker Racing might not be Team Aus next year.

It was a 3 year deal that ended last year and Gore may stay on but only likely for one car.

If anyone's been reading carefully between the lines of the comments made by Will Power recently and his interest in possibly moving to NASCAR in the near future, and Gore's current involvement with Marcos Ambrose, he could be looking at support a Sprint Cup team of Power and Ambrose in the near future.

All I can really say is watch this space in terms of what happens with Champcar, the Gold Coast round and so on.

Will Power in NASCAR???? That's a bit of a leap I think, but of course if he has said something like that then that must be a concern for someone. He'd have quite an apprenticeship to face though with no or at least very very little oval experience.

AR1 reported a rumor today the Champcar pace car program returns with Mazda and a new PR director is being hired that should be a popular choice in the community.

Well, if a pleasant, attractive female can overcome the obstacles that are there, the new PR director will BE well-received.

The MacDonalds thing is very interesting. Can't say I'm suprised either. JW has something of a history of being a sponsor magnet in my recollection. If I remember right didn't he have Coca-Cola on his car in F3000? Then in CC he seemed to be one of the few sponsored drivers, and now McDs express an interest. Good for him anyway.

Not seen any further news about Doornbos but now the NHL drive has gone staying put would be his next best move

It's been quoted in the press in the Netherlands that he is staying at Minardi.

Kal posted this on another forum-

"Sebring Tidbits
Just got back....

NHLR is not running both cars under McD's liveries. The team is working with a new major sponsor, and the car will be unveiled during the official announcement. (EDIT: But they did run both cars under McD's red and yellow at Sebring).

Team Australia (Walker and Gore) are running two cars, and Will Power is already signed. Gore says no way to IRL.

Speaking of IRL, next car gets bumpers and lower speeds to attract NASCAR drivers.

Forsythe very likely adding a third car.

Doornbos almost set for Minardi return.

Bruno set at Coyne, and team will be testing various drivers during pre season testing.

RocketSports likely staying with one car, but maybe.....

Wilson loves NHL, and the team loves him. Team hired many RuSport refugees which followed Justin.

Graham says dad is working something big with ALMS and a major new manufacture to the series (German).

Haas' tough talk ended when he heard IRL's plan to have bumper cars in 2010 or 2011.

Conquest's operation looks amazing.... 3 times bigger than what they were last year. Team was sporting new sponsor on sidepods, both cars, today.

Paul Tracy got a kick out of Montagny's entourage. Montagny is wicked fast.

PKV has new sponsor in the works for possibly both cars. Team looks set with 2 cars, and likely won't move to 3.

More DP01's were just delivered.

New one car team, with familiar old school name / owner, might happen by Long Beach.

Forsythe just hired more people (18 to be exact).

Pretty cool F1 driver seriously thinking about coming to ChampCar.

Minardi has new sponsor with Viso.

No one likes TV highlights programming. Won't happen again in 2009.

And saving the best for last....

All the big IRL teams were doing tire testing the day prior to the ChampCar testing. IRL car speeds were 3 to 4 seconds slower, per lap!"
