Sato knocks Alonso off the front row. Pity, but not bad for a rookie!

Dixon on the pole then. Amazing lap. A good .5 up on anyone else.

So Dixon takes pole, but well done to Fred getting into 5th despite engine problems. I can really see him winning now. Shame for Bourdais though

Dixon is frustratingly good.
Scary spot for Alonso to start, sandwiched between two cars on his row. Would have been better for him to get an inside or outside spot. Sure he'll handle it though. Of course bourdais would be out for the season now that he got his old crew together and started well enough to be a championship contender. Cruel luck. At least he's alive, though. |

Autosport is stating that Dixon and Franchitti were robbed at gunpoint last night. Bit of a rubbish way to celebrate the pole! Glad they're ok.

Wow! Can't believe he's out of the bed. Outside of the gown, he looks well.
So happy that he'll be okay. Wishing him the quickest of recoveries. |

There was a practice yesterday that saw Max Chilton put down the quick speed of 228.592.
Remaining top 5 - Jones, Dixon, Pags and Taku. http://www.indycar.com/stats/verizon...500/practice-8 James Davison broke the ice in Dale Coyne's road course car and turned the 28th fastest speed at 223.670. Tall order for them, but nice to see them make the session and turn 88 laps. Helio, Fernado, and Jack Harvey topped the number of laps turned with 121, 122 and 124, respectively. |

BT Sport seem to indicate that you can watch it online, but they say nothing if it's geo blocked to the UK. Anyone know if it's visible from Sweden?

Removing the airbox seems bad for sponsors.
