4x4 drive doesn't mean 4x4 grip

Thats right, it just means you have a little bit more control, and are able to decide where your crash will finish in the snow, as opposed to normal 2-wheel drive when you really are just the passenger.

Well at least that means I can go back to bed after watching the F1 - no wait the kids will deny me that pleasure.

Here's hoping planning restraints, the racing calendar and other meetings I've volunteered for will enable me to attend it if it's rearranged.

Looked like a good meeting but to be honest I'd already decided that if they were going ahead they were going to be doing it without me. I know you can't get a cold/flu from just getting cold but I got pretty cold at Donington last weekend and, by coincidence, I've been sneezing, feverish etc. ever since .

Let's hope it does get rearranged at Oulton and not shuffled off onto some other circuit.

Given the prevailing weather conditions, the nature of the cars at the event and the distances people involved will have to travel to attend, regretfully the decision has been made to postpone the Masters Raceday tomorrow. We're so sorry to anyone that's affected but wanted to make the decision as early as practically possible. All ticket holders for tomorrow's event will be contacted over the next few days with further details.

At least the decision was made early enough to allow people to be told it was off, so thanks to whoever made it. Unfortunately, I had already had to apologise due to being snowed in (my cats can't pull a fully laden sledge more than a mile). Common sense and safety has to take precedence.

First up, well done to the organisers for making the decision in good time so that we can have a glass or two of wine... sorry, have some certainty about tomorrow. In my experience it's unusual to have organisers so prepared to take the big discussion in good time and I salute you.

On the other hand, curses, I was soooooo looking forward to starting my season with what looked like an awesome clubbie.
