Phoenix 1 - you've got Heidfeld at Sauber, which is speculation. Massa is confirmed at the team, according to Pater Sauber.

There's still some drama to play out in the silly season. One BAR seat now open, one Toyota seat open, one Sauber seat open and two Jag seats open. Oh yeah, and BAR vs. Williams lawsuit. Should be interesting.

It's all his own fault, he could have become a test driver with a better team but instead he prefered to fill up the back of the grid. Sometimes an F1 driver has to gamble, and Jos obviously made the wrong choice. Maybe he can make HHF's life a bit harder in DTM |

I'm surprised this hasn't been updated since Button's infamous "move" on Dave Richards, so I'll have a shot:
Ferrari M. Schumacher R. Barrichello Renault F. Alonso G. Fisichella BMW-WilliamsF1 J. Button (assuming BAR's challenge to his move fails) M. Webber BAR-Honda D. Coulthard (if I were DC and/or Martin Brundle, I'd be on the phone to Dave Richards quick-smart, offering the services of the Scot to BAR for '05 ASAP) T. Sato McLaren-Mercedes K. Raikkonen J.P. Montoya Toyota R. Schumacher J. Trulli Sauber N. Heidfeld F. Massa Jaguar B. Wirdheim C. Klien Jordan R. Briscoe T. Glock Minardi G. Bruni R. Firman |

That's just a guess some people are making.
I don't think he'll go back there, a year after being punted. |

Just updating my predictions since the last batch of changes:
Ferrari M Schumacher Barrichello Renault Alonso Fisichella (previously Trulli) BAR-Honda Sato Davidson (previously Button) Williams-BMW Webber Button (previously Fisichella) McLaren-Mercedes Raikkonen Montoya Sauber-Petronas Massa Paffett (previously Davidson) (maybe Liuzzi) Toyota Trulli (previously Coulthard) R Schumacher Jaguar-Cosworth Coulthard (previously Wirdheim) Heidfeld (maybe Liuzzi if Heidfeld stays at Jordan, or Wirdheim if Liuzzi then goes to Sauber) Dubai-Toyota Briscoe (previously Glock) Albers (previously Verstappen) (maybe Heidfeld if he's not too ****ed off with EJ for stopping his Williams deal, and can see a positive future for the team) Minardi-Cosworth $$$$ $$$$ |

Ferrari -M Schumacher/Barrichello
Renault - Alonso/Fisichella BAR-Honda - Sato/Davidson/JV Williams-BMW - Webber/Button McLaren-Mercedes - Raikkonen/Montoya Sauber-Petronas - Massa/JV Toyota - Trulli/R Schumacher Jaguar-Cosworth - Coulthard/Heidfeld/Klien Jordan Dubai-Toyota - Briscoe/Heidfeld Minardi-Honda/Cosworth (Toyota/Honda rivals so if Toyota show how good they can make Jordan why not Honda help Minardi with a few designs etc.. (see Sauber/Ferrari) - Get Sato in there and maybe Paffett or Coulthard and it could really go places. |

Hakkinen is in talks with BAR. Personally I would see a JV and Mika partnership as a good one so long as they both kept their salaries down, JV did some more commercial work and more money came into the team. Hakkinen is known to be pretty poor in the midfield but get him dicing with MS and he can and will go for it. (Just ask Zonta what went passed in on his left while something red went past the other side slower!)

Exactly.
He's just playing the media at the moment, and probably having a good laugh. |
