Good question. Officially it said just for the next three (well, next two now) Cup events, but as shown in 2002 when Harvick was the suspended from a Cup race at Martinsville because of his antics in a couple of Camping World Truck and Nationwide races Edwards would probably be smart to behave outside of the Cup Series as well

Watching the Bristol Nationwide race in the sun was great. Kasey Kahne was going well until the car broke. He got backed up behind the 6 car, and the language on the radio was quite interesting!! I didn't think they were supposed to swear like that! Putting the (insert brand of German aircraft) into the wall probably wouldn't be the best idea!!
Wallace and Braun was a little bit severe, and stopped the race while they cleared up the oil & water. I was surprised by the amount of people giving young Bradley a tap from time to time! Great to see Justin take his first Nationwide win though, and Harvick putting Logano into the wall at turn 4 before the flag...... what was all of that about!!! |

I know we're just 5 races in, but this is surprising where some of these teams are in owners points. |

Ambrose to race at WG and Montreal once again in NW. Can he continue the streak at WG? Can he break the streak at Montreal?
Whose owner points will be used though?? And stupid question for the day, why does Jodi Geschickter run a dodge for The Captain in NW, when JTG used to run a Ford in NW, and now a Toyota in Cup? |

My Favourite 08 moment was when Courtney/Besnard comeback drive at Bathurst. Courtney raced through to dominate the opening stint had 15 sec. gap to Lowndes who was in 2nd. In the 2nd stint a slowly deflating tyre (originally diagnosed as a damaged anti-roll bar) slowed Besnard's stint in Courtney's car allowing Whincup to assert dominance over the field rest of the race. On lap 160 S.Richards, fading badly on rear tyres was unable to stop Courtney move into 3rd place. |

that confused me as well. apparently, they are the primary sponsor for Baker Curb Racing this year. Not sure they have "gotten away" with that one.
maybe we'll be able to see the Skoal Bandit again.... quick call Handsome Harry and Burt! |

You're all gonna love this.............
Dale Jr. to run #3 car at Daytona NNS race? If arrangements go as planned, Earnhardt will run the #3 Wrangler Chevrolet for JR Motorsports at Daytona International Speedway in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race on July 2. Sources have told FOXSports.com that Earnhardt will revive his father's famous #3 in a collaborative effort initiated by JR Motorsports with Richard Childress Racing and Dale Earnhardt Inc. A formal announcement is expected on April 29. According to team sources, a Hendrick Motorsports engine will power the car. Earnhardt Jr. currently has a personal services contract with Wrangler, continuing a family legacy between the brands. Wrangler first sponsored his father for the final race of his 1980 Cup championship season and the following year with Rod Osterlund for the first 16 races. (4-22-2010) |

Wow, we're in for a much worse N'wide season than last year. Non cup guys are being yanked for Cup drivers, for various reasons, like sponsorship and apparent lack of performance. Face it, no sponsor cares if you're not a cup driver. The teams are greedy, seeing more marketability in this soul-selling route.
21: Townley yanked, Bowyer in this car indefinately, sponsor stays. 16: Braun sidelined for ALL races when this car has no sponsor. Kenseth drives. 88: Bires released from contract, Mcmurray in for at least 9 races and Arpin comes in for a few. Also, it looks like Busch and Harvick are running the entire season afterall, whopee!!!!!!!! Still, Wallace, Buescher, Allgaier, Stenhouse, Annett, Lagasse, Wise, Bayne, and Scott are left in terms of full time, young non cup drivers, but all I have to say is this..... Screw this series!!! If you're not in cup, you're nothing apparently! Last edited by MJ_N_09; 29 Apr 2010 at 07:03. |
