The thing is, the media seems to discuss whether the new Chase system will work from a business point of view. Very few comment on whether it's fair and worthy from a sportive point of view.

Same as the old boss, except that they are getting very good at writing things down after the circle of idiots have gathered. Thanks for the notification through your app about this update, NASCAR. This is the news that I have been waiting all off season for.
And this is the part that is just untrue: "maintain the integrity...of our sport." THAT is now gone with their dumbass points/championship system. Gone. |

I think it is actually true, because they are simply trying to maintain the current levels of integrity. They didn't claim to have high integrity, just that it was going to stay the same.

You're correct, sir, if going by that comparison, similar to the integrity of Halliburton.

Funny to mention halliburton because i am currently on the Louisiana coast with multiple offshore oil industry ships emblazoned with their logo just down the road. Plus if I were really worried about high integrity would I be living in Louisiana?

What is this National Motorsports Appeals Panel? Is it run by ACCUS, or is it actually a Nascar entity?

^ As they should. I feel this chase system backfiring horribly.

Wow MWMS brought up the major point and that is NASCAR has no faith in their system.

And that was "Craillsly", too. Another big point made is that NASCAR have completely alienated their core fanbase, but that news is at least a decade and a half old. See the Chase and the subsequent waning of interest up to now.

Duck Dynasty to replace National Rifle Association as sponsor for Texas Spring Night race.
They sure do know their demographics down in the Republic of Tejas, hopefully Chick-Fil-Fabulous sponsors the Nationwide race. |

The new playoff system is a mess and it's not like it matters - Jimmie Johnson will find a way to win the championship anyway.
I like the qualifying changes, however, and I'm super pumped to finally see the #3 back on track. It's where it belongs, damnit. Oh, and I quite like the Cheerios paint scheme |

This makes my head hurt. NASCAR becoming like big brother making rules just to make rules.
Please get back to basics! That was the appeal for me even into the Chase era; it WAS the most simple form of motor racing, and now they are just pulling rules out of a hat on a weekly basis. And putting rules into electronic form? Welcome to the 2000s, NASCAR. It will still say on the last electronic page, "must be approved by NASCAR." |

Even the longest church service is more entertaining than a 'race' at Tejas Motor Speedway.
How anybody can stay in the grandstands for these 1.5 mile aero festivals for 3 hours is beyond me. I'm guessing it's Bud Light, narcotics or perhaps the Bacon Beer Milkshakes* but I can't be sure. *http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/shak...lkshake-103113 |
