Just got back from Le Mans... with three new models! Ooops.
I have got to say, first off, the Norev R10 is absolutely fantastic value for money. It is really really good and I had no problem splashing out the 35 Euro being asked for it. It will look fantastic in my cabinet along with the others - you'd really never know it was a budget model. I also picked up the 1949 Ferrari 166MM that I missed out on buying the other day (I was prepared to pay the £75 it was listed at but was told it was a one-off and had been sold) and was delighted to find it wasn't a one-off at all but a (surprisingly good) offering from Hot Wheels. Finally, I managed to get my hands on the 1952 CMC Mercedes. I was particularly happy with this as I've not seen any for sale for ages and, when I have, the privces were spectacular. Unfortunately there was a tiny indicator missing on this model but, given it was 1/2 the usual price, I can live with it just about. Has anyone any ideas where I might be able to source a replacement? |

Picked up three models too - two of the Audi R8, 5 euros each so giving them a try on ebay, and the Peugeot 908 from Valencia - 30 euros from the Peugeot shop and currently already making a profit on ebay

Ferrari 166MM
Already had a couple of private messages about the '49 166MM (wish I'd picked up the other two they had, I could have made a tidy profit!) so I'll post up a couple of photos as they didn't seem to believe it was available...
As I say, it is made by Hot Wheels, but surprisingly it is very nicely done. I've snapped the photos with a couple of examples of more expensive cars so that you can get an idea of the standard. |

Mattel do a better job on cars that aren't F1. Not class leaders, but acceptable.
That Spark R10 is fabulous. I'm seriously thinking of getting my long delayed sportscar collection going. Think I may auction the majority of my existing collection whilst I'm at it to fund it... |

I do not know how much Spark are going to be asking but the Norev versions is stunning value for money at 35 bucks... it really is very good and that is a real bargain. Their 905 is very good as well

Thing is, I keep mine in boxes and those Spark ones are ideal. Keep the dust off the model, but can be opened with ease too.
Norev 905 is a definite must have though. |

Of course, Spark are going into production with a 905 as well... just to throw a spanner in the works
Any word yet on either Spark or Norev releasing the 1993 winner? It's bound to happen, of course, but I've not heard any announcements yet - anyone? |

I have to say, Sparks range is getting incredible , the detailing is superb to the point where ixo look a bit poor. I had the really rather fun task at Le Mans of getting feedback from drivers and teams on the quality of models and they are in love with Spark!

Spark are sending me an e-mail soon of their 2007 1/18 collection.
The latest Sparks are around £55-£60 on ebay. If your lucky you may be able to pick them up for £49. Last edited by JAG; 21 Jun 2007 at 15:24. |

OK, things are looking bleak now. I've got the feelers out for an AutoArt Mazda 787B and a Spark R10 and Pesca. I will of course be auctioning off a lot of other cars to do this.
I'd just like to take the opportunity to damn Craig and to damn JAG for keeping this thread propped up. *******'s. |

The Mazda is a beautiful car. Although not as beautiful as the Jag which you will undoubtedly look to buy in the future...!
You realise, of course, this means you can't afford that Stateside trip...? |

There is someone on there who claims the Peugeot is the Le Mans model but queries in listing why there's no Le Mans stickers on it....that'd be because it is not the Le Mans model! |

I have also ordered decals for the 1951 C Type and 1968 GT40 as I reckon I can convert the 1953 and 1969 models respectively. Well, at least I can look at the idea anyway, they'll probably just sit in a drawer and gather dust |

Have just heard that Minichamps are planning to re-issue their 82 and 83 1:18 Porsche 956s shortly. They're expected to be available in the region of 50-60 quid sans Rothmans logos.

I've got a small 1:43 Le Mans collection wich inludes the Audi's R8 and R10, the Bentley speed 8, the Corvette CR6, the AM DB9R, 2 different version of the Jan Lammers Dome(+ a 1:43 model of the team truck), a Viper(Carsport Holland/Hezemans), a Mercedes CLK GTR, a 911 Gt1, a Toyota GT one, the Jaguar XJR9(Lammers/dumphries/Wallace) and a Spyker C12 DoubleR.
but that's nothing compared to what you guys have. |
