Millvi should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Looks like another difficult weekend for Jade Edwards with a penalty and moved right to the back of the grid for race 1. And a £2000 fine for Team Hard.

I think Porsche need to do some re-categorising in the Sprint Challenge. Am class driver Marc Warren qualified on pole and won this morning's race outright.

Encouragingly, looking at the results, the top 9 were all within 6 seconds at the line - although perhaps there was a late safety car!

The pace is a lot closer than its been! Yesterday's race had the top 8 covered by just over 6 seconds in a clean race. I think they were helped a bit this morning by having a safety car for a few laps following Graeme Mundy's retirement. The avg race speed yesterday was 89mph, today 78mph.

Halstead already over this year's engine allocation. We are only on the third meeting, that must be some kind of record

It's quite a long lap. This is standard.

I really hope Sutton goes for the hards in the next race and then gives it absolutely everything to defend against Hill, Turkington and Ingram on mediums for the lead. Then chooses softs for the last race to charge to the front in race three. That will guarantee two really exciting races.

Shame for Collard and Chilton who looked to have good pace, and if Cammish is on softs next time he might be able to challenge for a podium.

The top five drivers in the championship seem so far ahead of the rest at the moment.

Hyla Breese accumulated -16 points in just five rounds in 2002 due to engine penalties, I can't remember the exact rules but -20 of them were for engine changes so he must be pretty up there in the engine penalty record books.

Dan Welch ended up on -40 points in 2014 which I think was due to engine penalties, not sure how quickly he amassed that though

8 engine change penalties were accumulated during the season.

Breese came in at round 6, effectively he just took over the engine allocation from the previous drivers. For that car the first penalty was into the second half of the seaosn.

I wasn't suggesting that Halstead was the first driver to ever get an engine use penalty, but more that this must be the earliest in the season that such a penalty has been applied.

A 2 minute lap is way too long. I went to Snetterton once after they changed the layout, and decided it wasn't worth visiting again for BTCC - unless they go to the 200 layout in future, which is close the original circuit.

Maybe if you don't mind watching ants from the raised banking it's ok, but around Esses (which was my favourite spot) it's rubbish compared to how it used to be.

I know - hence I put afterwards that I wasn't sure how early on in the season he picked up the first offence especially given that, as crmalcolm has reminded us, it was 8 offences for him that year.

I'd be worried if I were Ash's rival. However, I'm a bit afraid Lord Gow will try to peg him back. Which I don't think should happen, it's others role to try and catch him.
Have to say it, not a fan of all this tyre diversity.
