Just lucky, which is all one can hope for this season...

...although if I hadn't JUST missed the automated Spa entry cut-off after FP2 I might be closer to the top. I'll have to remember that "Hey Crow, is it too late to get in my entries" trick the next time I forget...

While I realize the reason for the change, I liked it better when the entry cut-off was after FP3.

On to the second half!

Any other week, you'd be looking for a top three or a win with that. But you have to hand it to Spritle , that was a bit special. You're tied with Daisy for the best round score BTW.

I'll put up any suggestions for system changes at the end of the season, and we'll decide them together then. Changing mid-season just feels like bad form to me. The trouble with trying to get the cut off to co-inside with the start of quali, is that 1, its quite a faff trying to get the start times of the sessions pre-season and translate them into GMT. And 2. having a bit of a gap between the cut-off and the start of quali does seem to be useful for sorting out misunderstandings.

Having said that, if enough of you are committed enough to want to see FP3 to factor that into your predictions, then I'll be happy to oblige.

I usually try to get in my predictions in early,but for Hungary I didn't have any internet connection in the wilds of Idaho.I thought about stopping a few times on the way home,but the wife would not have been happy !
My picks were a total guess at 1:30 am after a long drive..and I was really lucky! I have not watched the actual race yet.Hope to get a gap in the Olympics in the next few days..

FYI D'ambrosio is selectable in the Predictions Compy. If you choose Grosjean in your Monza predictions, you won't score.

This gives me a slight dilemma. I can see that the only useful data on which to base a prediction about D'ambrosio, may well come from the Saturday free practices. As we saw this weekend, the car he's stepping into is well capable of having quite a strong influence on the race.

Unless anybody has any strong objections (which you need to voice pretty quickly!), I have set the prediction cut-off to the start of Monza Q1 (Saturday 14:00 UTC). Which means you can now watch all the Free Practice sessions before making your mind up. I don't like doing this, so to offset the possible effect of the change, I shall be strict and absolutely not accept any forgotten entries after the cut-off, no matter what the circumstances.

If you intend watching the Free Practice sessions, can I suggest you submit a "Banker" prediction during the week, in case you forget on Saturday?

There's still a few people who have put the big French crash magnet in their predictions. Anybody know them/could post them a message or something?

(And what a doughnut he is. I had GRO for fastest lap, HAM for win, ALO and I thin PER and GRO up there too. A fine and one race ban was quite a light punishment IMHO)

FWIW, just about everybody got clobbered equally badly. I think that was just about our lowest scoring round yet. Looking through the predictions, my main score was on Button. Very few people even had him down for scoring points.

Ouch, That's motorsport for you. Only person to score >100 last week. This week, went the wrong way on every team and scored the worst points this season, a rather pathetic 51

Anyhow, Congratulations to Koper who both won the round and put himself top of the Championship. Well done chap
