well as you know GTR WOW sponsor Craig Gore's WPS V8 Supercar team so the cross over was fairly easy I guess.

Value for money for the sponsors with 4 cars this weekend with WOW on them and plenty of trackside signage

Sure is plenty full of WOW branding... I had half expected Max Wilson to appear in a ChampCar somewhere (he is associated with the WOW sponsorship of these teams..)

Big crash for Bourdais

Now Bourdais is unhurt but big damage to the car.

He had just taken the fastest tie of the session and then crashed (was still .1 slower than power yesterday) but now because he caused the red flag he losses his fastest time dropping him back to 2nd

Is Servia going to stay where he is in qualifying? Paul Tracy made a big thing of Mr Servia getting in his way during qualifying, and from how #10 made it sound, Mr Allmendinger had the same view....

Maybe there shall be an update?

Top work for Will Power to be on pole position.. Craig Gore looked amazingly happy after that little effort

Sounds like qualifying has been pretty fragmented, with a lot of crashes and stalls. Hoepfully most of those are due to the chicanes rather than driving errors.

Great pole from Will, he's been strong this season and deserves a big result at his home race. Even without Justin on the grid it should be a cracker.

Bourdais didn't just clip the tyres, he hit them, launching his car off the ground momentarily and landing with just enough time to apply full lock to avoid a head-on collision.

His "just clipping the tyres" was a crash on any street-circuit any where in the world.

Why does he lie like this?

Maybe these "professional" drivers should just not hit the tyres.... they are on the very inside of the curb, usually at least 2 feet from the asphalt. Just a thought.

Bourdais especially - man, he was 4 feet off the racing line - you stuffed up, don't blame the track!

Servia's post qualifying interview was hilarious. Good to see he keeps a sense of humour even when confronted PT allegations.

All the Power to Will tomorrow, with AJ back in 7th (quite unlucky) he is the most likely shot at keeping the single winner intact.

A word about chicanes: a driver must set the car up for a chicane when he/she is a long way from it. you don't just drive up to it and then, prudently motor on through. You have to set your line, so far away and at a speed that there is no way to correct for the slightest error.

One of the sad truths about racing is that the people who aren't good enough to race feel that they are the only ones who know how to set up a track and they usually take a "let them eat cake" attitude.

My concern is the practice sessions and qualifying looked very below par. 14out of 18 cars actually practiced and qualifying was done under a red flag.
I hope this not a bad omen for the race...let us see some racing.
