They applied for their own F1 entry. According to http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/76088 they remain hopefull to still get an entry.

Interesting snippet of news on Endurance-info.com. Far too early to count any chickens, but work continues on the EE2 (in the wind tunnel, the design having been completed last winter). As with so many projects, the team just require the budget to actually build and race the car, not easy in the current economic climate. But, with the EI article ending with the words 'news to follow', you just wonder if..........

It would be superb to see Epsilon back in the LMS or at LM with a car, the old EE1 showed considerable potential in 2008, both of the car's started going very quickly at the Nurb and at Silverstone. Would i be the only one assuming this new "EE2" car will have a similar, if not the same chassis as the EE1, albeit with different Aero and other parts?

I assume this press release is an attempt to remind some of the rumoured manufacturers eyeing Le Mans that they have a car designed that could be taken on.

They are like Dome, they have a car but no money to run it, that´s a mess
Epsilon changed the gearbox moving from Xtrac to Ricardo, the gearbox was the biggest problem of the EE. They also made some major aero changes, loosing about 30% of drag and winning some downforce, the car improve a lot from the oldest EE01, but they need money for running. BTW, do you knew than the air conditioning from this car came from a Smart fortwo? |

Joan Viladelprat´s primary goal with their LM effort was to showcase their ability to build competitive cars, and sell them... He wanted (wants!) Epsilon to be Spain´s first competition car manufacturer... |

If I only had a dollar for every team that said they were ready to race, all we need now is budget.
I would be rich enough to run my own racing team |
