Joe was penalised in the stars of the 70s race yet at least 4 cars from the rows behind had moved long before he did and ended up about 5 abreast across the track. It seemed weird that they singled out Joe and not the others, especially as he didn't seem to move until the lights went out.

And in the March Hare, it was not an early start. Just a damn good one. I was right behind and followed his line through all the slower cars. As I said, I believe we were 3rd and 4th into the first corner from the back of the grid!!

From my vantage point at the side of the track , you were around 6th and he was 4th.

even so it sounds like the start we all dream of! Well done to both of you and my earlier comment was slightly tongue in cheek as I am sure he would not risk another drive through..

Actually Roger, in fairness you weren't far off but at the end of lap 1 Joe was second and you were fourth. Shaun Lyn wasn't around which made up one place and I was out (another place). Michael Pearson withdrew so with the gaps on the grid you were indeed around fifth/sixth going across the line.

I was impressed with your drive though and indeed a little jealous because clearly the track would have suited my tyres.

Just watched it again in slow motion. Joe was third at the first corner and I was 5th. By the second corner I had passed the Pontiac and was fourth.....

Not at all. Just emphasizes how well you did between the start line and turn 1.

It was my first race after Spa shunt so i was very nervios but ended up having a fantastic race with Andrew Tart with his MK7 Jag. He went straight over Russell " Twice" . Just the best fun. Thanks everyone.
