Started raining at half-eight this morning and hasn't stopped since. Watched the Audis being loaded into the truck ready for the trip down into town - everyone getting soaked. Local forecast is for more of the same all day. According to the latest paddock gossip and team predictions, it's going to stay like this until Thursday morning, then be clear Friday and Saturday, and then a return to rain on Sunday.
However, although "it always rains at Le Mans", it is also never follows the forecasts exactly, so it could be all-change in a day or two. If the current downpour continues, scrutineering this afternoon is going to be a severe test of character. |

Really strong westerly winds on London Warsaw flight which says it could be really quite unpredictable in central France pretty much all of this week.
As ever, packing a goretex probably isn't going to be the worst idea in the world. |

I'm beginning to be confident for the week-end, there will be perhaps several drops only.

Forecasts turned to a mess last hours, and if we may save some heat and dry weather on saturday, things are pretty confusing for sunday, depending on the web site we refer on... should turn around 26°C though, which is quite hot especially under the sun, but beware of the storms on sunday, always very local and unpredictable on the spot...
Qualifications will certainly take part on wet track on wendesday at least... |

Hope wednesday is dry so we can get the tents/gazebo's up.
If Qualifying is wet then we make a very mixed up starting grid which will make the first 20 mins very exciting on Saturday. This time tomorrow I will know what the weather is like in France and by early afternoon what the weather is like in Le Mans. |

If Wednesday's session is wet though, it'll give the teams that much harder a task to set the cars up and get all the drivers qualified on Thursday, let alone actually thinking about going for serious times......

There are some pictures on Club arnarge from the early arrivals at the campsites, plus some of scrutineering, it looks very wet and from what I hear parts of the campsites are already looking bad. However weather getting better according to some of the forecasts.

Well at least we should be able to get pegs in the ground. Looked at the 4 weather sites and no rain from Thursday on, except Accuweather saying there may be the odd storm on Sunday am. So the majority outlook is for a dry one at present.

That does sound quite warm for the weekend, humid too apparently. I wonder if we are going to hit on tyre wear problems during the race this year ?

Some big clouds will appear on sunday and will perhaps disturb the end of the race.
