Another question for you lads. During the 10/10ths thread about the 24hrs of Spa,there was a very handy link to a realtime weatherradar. A handy site to have "homestayers" updating you for when rain is about to fall.
During the 24hrs,when I was forced to stay home,I was able to predict rain for my friends at the race,to within half an hour...
Somebody still know this link?
Haven't a clue on the drivers other that they would like them to be Dutch as per the article at Planetlemans.com (the name of the team in my other post is the link).

As to the weather for Spa try this LINK , hope it is what you are looking for!

Youve hit the nail on the head Jag . The Pug is a complete package .

All the rest are bits of this and bits of that . I think that makes a very big differance .

I must admit that I think the Pugs would beat the R10 on any more twisty circuit than Le Mans. It seems to me that it is a more complete package. But Ialso think that a P2 Porsche run to Penskes standard would run the Pug quite close on all but the fastest circuits.

What a Factory P1 could do is another matter but logic would say that it would be much closer that the current P1 selection

Very simple:
  • track layout changed

They ran that spec at Road America and beat Audi.

I reckon they'd be 2-3 seconds quicker than P2 pole at Spa.

At about the 3hour mark, the live stream announcers said the Levaggi was on track but circuitlating at a slow pace.

The Pescarolos are having a really clean race in positions 2-3-4 and Creation is also running well in 5th despite two punctures.

#12 Courage rammed Charouz on the first corner breaking the Lola's rear suspension.
Arena crashed quite heavily with Shimoda on the wheel and lost lots of bodywork.
#13 Courage had starter or clutch issues.

Self destructed AGAIN.

Maybe they should all take a leaf out of Pescarolo and Rollcentres book?

How can you spend SO much money designing, building and running cars, only to have such awful reliabilty and poor race craft?

According to DSC Shimoda hit a patch of oil in the Arena Zytek so you can't really put that down to car failure either!

The safety car appears to of worked well in the favour of the RML LMP2 - if ithas given tem a lap on the perscarola - they have a good shot at an overall podium

At the start of the safety car period, LAA Corvette was over a lap ahead of Modena AM. Both cars made normal pit stops and changed drivers. At the end of the safety car period, Modena AM is 20 seconds behind LAA Corvette! Something smells fishy here!

The safety car rules allow cars ahead of the lead car to overtake the safety car - if you are lucky enough to be in that position it can give you a lap back - that is probably what happened

If that was going to be the case, it should have happened at the beginning of the safety car period not at the end. It appears that at Spa they run two safety cars and one of them pulled off while the other one didn't for another lap and everyone bunched up behind the first one. So Modena gained half a lap when they shouldn't have.
