That was impressive by Herta on cold tires.

Palou pulled HUGE on the field to catch up to Herta
And around the outside at T1, must be a massive 1 lap fuel difference pitting that lap early |

Based on their call and the timing they went really dumb on the in and out. Palou second faster on in lap on the button, Herta hard on the button to go second faster on out lap. So you use extra fuel AND have an extra lap to go? Seems like a bad bad pit call |

It’s going pear shaped for Herta.

I like Palou's fried chicken over Turner tacos after a win, far better celebration dinner

Palou. Super impressive.
I was impressed with Herta around the last stop, but it turns out he ruined his chance to win by doing that. |

Congrats to Palou but feel a bit sorry for Herta.

Yeah, you have to think pitting a lap early and pushing harder on the out lap screwed them on fuel mileage. The team was faster by 1.3 seconds on the actual stop but that push and hard hard hard on the button, he went from 200 to under 100 on both laps, burned so much fuel the number became impossible to hit without giving up
