No problem Rob, the car is great indeed ; I just didn't know that touring cars were allowed to enter LMES races...

The new car will be built to ACO specs. Its a two door car like the Bathurst 24hrs machines.

I think we have been down this road Fab, with the BMW M3. The only thing I would say is that the car has been around in Procar GT championship down in Australia for a while. It also won the Bathurst 24 Hours twice aswell.

The Monaro is one of my favourite cars.
It reminds me of the Saleen Mustang in the BPR championship.

It is also a totally different car, right?

I mean, have EE designed the new car themselves?

Yep, that's Ayse's nemesis... but I was just surprised to learn that the Monaro fits the ACO's rules, not shocked. Ayse could have a different opinion, though

It enters the GT2 category, isn't it ?

That's the class it races in the British GT Championship. What ever the rights or wrongs of the car, I think that its great that there is another manufactur heading the LMES grid.

Holden is what we name Vauxhall in UK, Opel in Germany and France (General Motors) ? I haven't ever seen any Monaro in France... that belongs to Bathurst for me

I must admit I was a little surprised when the car appeared in British GT. And yes, let's be honest, it does look like a touring car not a GT. It is a great car but I tend to agree with those who are saying it has no place in LMES/LM.

Vauxhall/Opel Monaro has just been launched across Europe and is an M5 rival.

It is different to the Aussie V8 Supercars.

M5 = 4 door saloon
M6 = 2 door coupe

Same engine but the M6 is slightly lighter.

It would be great if Courage and Cottaz could solve their dispute . Then we could have the little frenchman back in a Courage again !!!

I guess Cochet will be one of their drivers then . One fast car and one steady car is my guess .

The C5R of GLPK is added to the list.

Oreca will enter their R8 in all LMES races!
