If I were Jaguar, I wouldn't race in TCR, but in DTM or GT3.

Agree, but since they are pushing for electric championships, they can make TCR car to get more money.

I don´t think ADAC TCR. Besaplast is a big Company here and a start in a worldwide Series is a fantastic Marketing for them.

No idea how we missed this but there was news of TCR Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG back in March.
I just checked team Facebook profile and there was no mention of this car, and on Boštjan Avbelj Facebook last post featuring Mercedes was made on 31 March.

I saw something about an A-Class which was due to be built to TCN-2 regs. before the category died. The FIA disallowed it.

Dutch team Vuik Motorsport were building a TCR-spec A-class. As they didn't think they would get approval from Mercedes, they applied to the FIA to allow it as a TCN car in ETCC. FIA refused as the car would not have national homologation.

Didn't they bring out an upgrade kit already for this year? Looks like TCR learned nothing from the early years of GT3 when manufacturers pushed excessively expensive upgrades on their customers every year.
