Satorian has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

IIRC, sport auto had an article on Reiter Engineering a few months back and Hans Reiter said that he gets no factory support whatsoever, except for getting cars in unassembled state so they save some work.

Hardly a Works team, me thinks. Reiter's Lamborghini effort can't be lauded and applauded enough (especially the GT3 Gallardo), considering the circumstances.

I've made my own little accolade to the R-GT and it's fabulous engine note in video form, using my own footage from Silverstone...

A works team is who builds the race car, is it not, like Prodrive + Aston/ferrari, so it matters not that they get no Lambo support

I thought Works teams were independent teams tasked by a manufacturer to run a car while getting paid for it, like Schnitzer for BMW or Prodrive for Aston or Corvette Racing (run by P&M on behalf of GM), or all-out manufacturer teams like the big F1 teams.

No such thing with Reiter and Lambo though, as Reiter run completely independently of the manufacturer.

My impressions was that the terms "Works" is firmly connected to the primary manufacturer, not the race car preparer. Otherwise any P&M supported Corvette team would become a "Works" team.

Hmmm... that means also that Wieth Racing years ago was a Ferrari works team ;-) .... and A:Level was a Porsche GT1 works entry in the LMES ? ;-)

My understanding of a "works" team is a team run by the factory .

You also have a "works" supported team , like Pratt & Miller and Risi .

Yes, that's my understanding too.

However sometimes the 'works' or factory gets specialists to run things on their behalf just to confuse the issue but remaining as a factory assault. I.E AMG Mercedes, Schnitzer BMW, Eggenberger Ford; Joest Audi etc....

I don't believe there's any FIA GT teams working on that basis though, just a few teams that might be 'smiled upon'.

Pratt and Miller, by FIA jurisdiction, are works.
