As expected, Caddy quickly losing advantage to the chasing pack as the stint progresses.

6 Porsche overcut the 2 Cadillac. Or did caddy have a slow stop?

Yes the timing and scoring shows 1 minute and 20 second stop for the 6 and 1 minute and 21 seconds for the 2 Caddy. So Lynn might just have had a slower out lap since it was his first laps of the day.

Hypercars behind the leaders pitting under VSC.
Stevens and his pit box arguing over whether to come in or not. |

Did the 2 Caddy and the 6 Porsche miss the pit window? Everyon behind them took a free pitstop and now there's a safety car to bunch them up.
Yep, thats a strategy blunder from CGR and Penske. Toyota is sitting pretty again. |

From what I have calculated, everyone behind the top 2 took stops under VSC and took about 9 laps of fuel. Now the safety car erases the gap. So basically these guys who pitted will have shorter fuel stops later in the race than the leading Caddy and Porsche. I don't understand how the Caddy and the Porsche missed this. It may cost them the race if they don't have the speed to make up for the longer fuel stop.

Stints are 1h09 and some 1h10m. It might mean one less green flag stop for those… Even if it doesn’t, as you say, they’ll have the shorter stop. Much could happen in the next 4+ hours. |

I don't understand how they could make such a basic error. Penske even stopped the #5 Porsche. Why not bring the 6 in? Do they know something that we don't?
