isnt that because its the fastest lap ever completed around the track. plus
i think its good that we can talk in terms of both now we have the top ten shoot out which creates a lap formula just out of interest marshalls lap record at winton this year was quicker than the fastest qualifying lap |

No, the Murphy lap getting this level of recognition is globally unique. And ummm... I'm not sure about your English. A lap formula? |

no doubt it was a great lap, yes he had alot of things in his favour but he still did a great job. so with that said it will take a great lap to break the record. when it is broken would it carry the same status, would we see people come out of their boxes to applaud a great lap, will people talk about it for ages?

So Far The Poll is Looking Good. #17 and #888 seem to be the fav fan picks for the big day. Fingers Crossed for DJR to return to the top step at the mountain. In saying that it would also be good to see lowndes and whincup make history with a 4 peat before they cross over.

She was one beautiful engine that even after control parts came in was probably still the best in the fleet.

I believe the engine had very light crankshaft, pistons, rods etc. The very low rotating mass enabled the engine to rev more freely enabling rapid acceleration to the 7,500 rpm limit. I'm also told that engine was good for about 4 or 5 laps and then into the bin!

Looks Here like the GRM lead car for Holdsworth/Caruso will be #34...
The entry list doesnt have it that way... Its still not a pretty car, and wastes all that space with #34 on the door |
