Jenzer have confirmed Swiss driver Simon Trummer and Norwegian Pal Varhaug. Varhaug has raced with Jenzer for the last 3 years and finished 2nd in the 2007 Swiss Formula Renault championship and he is the 2008 Italian Formula Renault champion. He finished 5th in IFM last season. Thats quite good continuity with one team, it should stand him in good stead in GP3. Simon Trummer has also raced with Jenzer before and finished 2nd in the 2008 Swiss Formula Renault championship with the team, before going on to finish 11th in IFM last year.

Oli Oakes is looking for a drive. He never really fulfilled his potential in BF3, but you don't get to be a world karting champion by being a muppet.

No Australian driver - so far - in the MW (Mark Webber) Arden line-up.
Mark conveniently seems to have forgotten how much he benefited from the support of local sports enthusiasts (eg. former rugby international David Campese and top-rating Sydney radio broadcaster Alan jones) when he was struggling to get a foothold in Europe. Mark should 'do the right thing' and put an up-and-coming young Aussie in his third car. |

Yes he should, I work with an Aussie who said that several Aussie motor sport fans got a bit sick of Mark Webber doing tin-rattling before he got into F1. What Aussie's could take the GP3 seat though? Ricciardo obviously can't. John Martin? Can't think of many in the international scene at the moment.

Tim Macrow would be a good choise if Webber was to take an Ozzie!!! Not sure why it is a critisism of Mark that he did all that tin rattling. Its what you need to go racing.

A season officially costs between 650-700 thousand euro, but prices are falling rapidly. The economic crisis is still lingering and many teams are lowering the budget requested. Teams offer the important seat 400 thousand euros. |
