I think it's mostly the new high DF kit. Porsche since 2014 were always running the skinniest wings out of all 3 cars, now that they are on par with audi in that regard, we can see that the tire management is comparable, if not even better for the Porsche. Also another factor is that because they are in the 8mj class they have longer period of time in which they are AWD and that should be an advantage in low grip situations.

I don't think it's gonna win it for 'em (edit: but begin doubting my doubt!) but (edit: cut "but" insert "and") it's fun to watch. (edit: nice to see Audi pull an Audi move - a strong action out of a position of weakness forcing the competitor's hand into action) Last edited by Ephaeton; 1 Nov 2015 at 07:51. |

I don't know why the commentator is losing it over this decision, they are a lap ahead and by stopping now are back on the same strat as Audi, they still have a massive advantage. They would have lost more time by trying to stay out on the inters.

It's an easy call for Porsche. Put slicks on too. Simple. And they will be faster again.

These commentators say odd things sometimes. Like suggesting Webber stopping earlier would result in more fuel having to go into the car for the last stint which isn't true, it would be the same amount of fuel no matter when he stopped for that final stint (assuming he's already in the pit window, which is was).

They do say odd things at times. I give them the benefit of acknowledging the heat of the moment plus the length of the transmission (yes, even though they're pros -- pro race driver make mistakes as well)

They get excited with something that isn't happening.

Rebellion and Strakka both off on ... something. Race might end under yellow to clear this up.

#12 crashed (in avoidance of #42?), rebellion has 3 laps of time to repair the thing to not keep #4's championship hopes alive

whoa, #28 spins out on its own. KCMG inherits its position now, finishes on the podium after trailing all race long after its first few minutes mistake.

KCMG will be smiling, great recovery by them.
Grats to the #17, too good. I wonder if the race control realises they are allowing a car, and a shitload of money to go up in smoke here. |

13 finishes the race on fire. Another race to forget for Rebellion.

wow, pegasus racing finished in front of strakka & ESM (and that one G-Drive) -- the michelin wets played a part in that, but still, nice achievement.
The race started kinda lame and kept on improving, thankfully I kept with it throughout. |

Wait ... didn't Vilander do something like four straight hours in the #51? I only remember seeing Bruni get in the car in the last third of the race. |
