Even the Chevron-TJ is beautiful compared to - that!
Looks like something a 3 year old would build out of Lego! |

Bit of a dumb question but does anyone know what CN actually means?
Is the Honda K20 mandatory for CN cars ( as all cars in SPEED Euroseries have)? As the R1 has the 2.0 F4R the same as Formula Renault 2.0. Things like legality panels behind the rear wheels I thought were mandatory in CN but the Praga's are open, wrong wing endplate sizes and different size wheels/tires etc. They had their own class when racing in SPEED series at Spa afew weeks ago but whether that was for championship reasons or technical I don't know. |

The Praga should not be seen as a CN prototype, but more a race car like the Aquila.
A racing car you can buy to race more-or-less open regulation races. When you read the Praga site, it gives the impression that the car is crash tested after CN standards as a safety measure, and not a regulation demand. |

The Honda engine is not mandatory for CN, just the best choice. Some series might have actually spec'ed it, like some F3 series run spec engines.

This one looks much better than the previous posted one
http://www.italiaracing.net/notizia.asp?id=42254&cat=21 unfortunately the article is only in italian, but it basically says that Oreca is working on a CN2 car, because this marked is experiencing a "boom" in latest years. I have worked myself on these cars for some time and i have to say they are pretty good to drive and work on, regulations are pretty free. Moreover they are pretty fast too, in Spa for example they are definitive faster than GT cars for example (pole when i was there was in the region of 2' 17'' xxx). Engines are, as said, group N, so power in the region of 250 hp. I guess it is impossible to think to their use in Wec environment, but still they are very interesting. Strange to read in the above article that they are planning to use a Chevy engine. Till now Honda was the only reasonable choice. |

Hallelujah, here's hoping the US take heed with this one to replace (or just remove) PCs too (as an open class I mean, not just the Oreca one).
Let's hope a few new engine possibilities crop up too. |

So I think they'll move away from CN-regulations. Though that might not be a big deal, as VdeV is also looking for a new and likely bigger engine. |

This is saying that they will use spec powertrain and tires...So it looks very much like what the VdeV and the Speed series already do... |

They probably would have brought this over to the TUDOR Championship but im sure they would be quicker than the P class and there would be many angry DP owners...gotta keep the NASCAR guys happy..

This is a replacement for LMPC, why should they be faster than a TUSC-P-car??

Looks like we have LMPC's replacement for TUSK in 2017. Spec tire and engines but open chassis eh? Well maybe there will be both coupes and open tops? Will there be a fin in the back?

The C Junior Class got back
The ACO took too much time on the regullations of the LMP3, I remember those rumours from Endurance-Info long time ago. IMO that's a smart movement, it would tie national championships like the SCC, the CIP or the VdeV with the ACO chamnpionships. The PRC WRC60 from Pedrazza could be considered a LMP3? |
