Around the twisty stuff it could run rings around all but the 458 but my worry would be how much power the V6 has.
I assume they're running with small tyres and the lowest GTE weight? |

Would be nice if they gave James Rossiter a drive seen as he shook it down.

According to the prov entry list the no.65 car has Mowlem and Rossiter with Jonathan Hirschi so hopefully an all pro line up can at least show the potential of the car.

Very purposefully looking Lotus, that. I hope we'll see them rotate as long as possible at Spa and Le Mans. I'll cheer for them.

Its good to hear, hopefully they can get some good miles out of the car come Spa and take it from there.

I agree with everyone. It's always great to see a new make enter the GT ranks on a professional level, privateer, customer, or factory.

I am still afraid that with so little testing and proper racing those cars will be out very soon in June's 24 hours race.

I know this isn't equivalent, but a Lotus won the GT4 category in the Blancpain series this week, so maybe there is hope for the GT2 version.

Depends on how much backing the GT4 program has, and how much the GT2 versions will have.

It does look like a proper racing car I have to admit.... Let's see how it goes.

What first spring to my mind is that it got very clever cooling compared to other (especially elderly 911's). Placing it right under the crash structure in the middle of the car reduces the risk of damaging it in an accident.
Something i remember bitterly from Le Mans 2-3 Years ago, with Lars Erik "Wheel-Spin" Nielsen's 911 being in pit for a longer of period of time to get it's radiators repaired. |

Le Mans is probably a big hurdle this early in the car's life, but I think it has potential. The GT4 is a hint of that, but the roots of that car's on-track development have been going on for a while. It will probably take a little while to unearth its potential and I hope that like with the GT4 they make use of drivers like Mowlem and Rossiter in races to facilitate that along.

I understand that manufacturers are important for the ACO , but this is expecting a bit much in my opinion . Oh , and the prepreg layup on the carbon fibre is absolutly shocking ..... looks like something my kid could do . Rough as a badgers arse , so to speak but , a good looking car . I really hope it works out for them eventually . Love to see Martin Donnelly in that car . |

Great picture, think it's been mentioned before but the Evora is designed by the same guy who did the MC12.

I hope they can put in a good run at Spa. They have admitted to be down on power, but that doesn't bother me too much right now. IF they can finish the race I will be more than impressed with this program.

4:06 and 4:29 at the test . 7 seconds of the class time , I think .
Not great but , hope they can get their act together for June . Lovely looking car . I still dont believe that Le Mans should be conducted as a test , which is what will happen at this rate . |
