Edwards definitely an excellent driver, Rahal did a good job snatching him up from the former Stevenson Camaro.

And with that, Edwards on pole with a 2:03.747

John Edwards is running off the racing line to pick up debris on his tires ---- to Raise his Ground Clearance?

How much debris will he need to pick up to raise the car if it is illegally low? As opposed to, say, picking up some weight to make sure the car passes that aspect of scrutineering?

Neither would I. I have to say, I'm surprised how ineffective the Porsche's are given their BOP break. Dissapointed with Risi considering the pole at indy. They don't seem to have hit the setup.

Honestly, even ignoring Malucelli's antics Risi has been doing really poorly since their return last year (or even in 2011). Whether it's luck, driving or engineering, they just don't have the magic that they used to.

How has the Falken Porsche been doing for pace this year? Is it normally at the bottom of the times in class?

They've been close to the back all year. I think they're having a really tough time developing the tires, combined with the 911's general weakness past Sebring.

Falken has not been doing that well ... not usually dead last but never top three either.

None of the GTE Porsches seem to be that good at anything but endurance--not real quick in qualifying or the first several hours, but they don't break or slow down when every other car does. I don't think Porsche has really hit it design-wise since it went to the wide-body 997 back in what, 2012?

Porsche hasn't really had a winner in GTE since.

I know I have knocked the coverage this year, but today for whatever reason, the cars look fast. Good camera placement and good shooting, I guess. Praise where due.

If someone told me 3 years ago that RSR would be taking poles and winning races I'm sure I would have dope slapped him or her

and Wow, that last lap from Dalziel! He must have been hiding it for the end of the session

I've posted this on Facebook twice now, needs to be shared here.

Don't know if anyone else is taking a tally, but out of the nine races run so far this year in TUSC, this is the fourth consecutive pole by a P2 car and the fifth this season. 5/9... that's over 50%. Now they just need to deliver in the races. I'm not a DP fanboy, I'm just realistic! Haha

The P2 set the lap time at the very because it took the whole session to get the tires up to temps! By then in the race the DPs will be long gone like usual...
