Erm Peter, how far behind are you?
I wonder if, during his seventh pirrhouette at Silverstone in 2002 Massa ever imagined doing TGF round the outside in the wet.. |

Jenson Button is driving beautifully. . Wonderful tire call. Again.
Hamilton drove well to get second. Alonso as well. . Best move he made was to get ahead of his road block teammate. |

A good race from Nico.

There are 2 things that spoil this for me:
1) Button's antics behind the safety car. That should be worthy of a penalty, easily 2) The safety car itself. That can only be pure race engineering. Hamilton and Alonso would've been nowhere without it, so it's an engineered result So a very good race but a totally farcical result |

It was an enjoyable race, if a little crazy. Once again Button has proved himself a master of racecraft.

Yeh, the stewards better not penalise McLaren post race. If they had a problem with it, dish it out during the race. Even though i think Hamo probably deserves a stop-go and Button a warning

Yeah I just discovered from Twitter that the F1.com live timing was in fact asleep. I was about 5 laps behind the tv feed it seems.
Well done Jenson and a great drive fron Lewis again. What a team these two are becoming. Big shout to Nico who really is showing Mickey-the-Shoe the way home now. Not forgetting a congrats to Petrov on his first points. Vettel and Webber really can't make those cars work in the wet it seems. Or was it a dry settings gamble? |

So TGF really got a schooling by the younger boys in the wet. But still he is 41 and learning about the tires so we can't really say anything.

Great race! Not sure about that safety car, though we've seen it before for a bit of debris. I wonder if the fact it was wet made them a bit more jumpy? Where was that debris anyway? I thought it was in the pit lane at first.
Of the two McLaren boys I still think Hamilton is the better in terms of raw driving ability, but Jenson has more maturity and a better racing brain. And in these first few races that's been vital for Jenson. Red Bull were really surprising, they had so much more trouble getting past slower cars then the McLarens. Due to a more dry setup maybe? |

First points for Petrov, in a rather good race for him.
Alas, Bruno finished in front of Karun again. |

why exactly? are we fans getting a share of the merchandising profits?
he hasn't starred in any of the races so far, but he has been drawing attention from his team-mate who's outpaced him at every race so we've seen so far. they could've put just about anyone else in that car, we'd have never known the distance? |

I think its just a matter of track position and using their tyres trying to recover from bad pit calls and a few bumps/stumbles. Their pace was fine...but like a few have been saying, they showed they dont have dominant oace to simpy drive through the field, they have had to capitalise in strong quali positions and not be challenged by Macs or Fezz
