I think I read that media day a couple of weeks ago was the first time Sutton drove the car this year. So they have zero test mileage and don't even have a decent Brands set-up from previous years to fall back on. No wonder they are all at sea.

Public Service Announcement:

ITV is still using an old version of flash player, which some versions of Chrome do not like. If you get an error, or a box saying "Download flash player", click the "i" in the address bar (top left) and enable Flash and then reload. If that still doesn't work then there may be an error in the top right of the address bar about unsecure scripts. Click it and allow those to run too.

Unfortunately, ITV has yet to move to HTML5, so this is going to become a bigger problem as browsers move away from supporting flash.

Harvey just said that only 1 Subaru engine has come back from Swindon in time and that's in Plato's car. So does that mean that Sutton and Price are running last year's Mountune units but without any tuning?

Yes.

Also, Ash Sutton being frank on the grid. Simply not enough testing and can't find a good set-up on the Indy circuit.

Good race!

Deserving win for Goff, faultless race for Turkington. Good progress by Ingram, Morgan, and a great drive by Sutton.

Excellent to see Smiley and Cole battling in the top ten as well, and Cammish did well in his first BTCC race.

Shame for the PMR Vauxhalls though as Cook was quick.

MG in the points too, hopefully not just because of the rain!

After the first few laps driving standards were good too. Unnecessary between Oliphant & Austin.

A big shame that Tordoff's race ended so quickly after not a good start... Simpson was at fault I think, this rallycrossing on the grass was not really a proud moment.
Great Goff v Turks battle, good job by Goff to hold this first place. Jordan a great start of the season as well and Fords look quite fast too. And a great drive by Sutton. Subaru should have a better driver alongside Ash :P nothing against JP but it is his time to retire I think.
Cammish was very careful, at least this is my impression but eighth place is not a bad start.

I thought Swindon were tuning the Boxer engine but I've read on a couple of BTCC sites now where they call it a Subaru Spec Swindon engine which would imply it's the Toca engine. All very confusing.

So FWD will now be at 1270kg and RWD at 1300kg, crazy to think we'll potentially see a 105kg difference between cars at some points.
