The359 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
DSC says the Marcos LM600 #002 is entered in GT90s as well. It was Le Mans in 1995 and was the British GT Championship winning car.

I saw that Marcos at Oulton Park in '95, racing against a De Tomaso Pantera and the G-Force 911 GT2.

12 years ago!!!!!!!!!!

I hope we see Listers and Vipers coming out (eventually) to bolster grids, we can't rely on exotic GT1's to fill the grid

What else is out there, realisticly?

Esprit V8 and four cylinder car's (giant killer with Zanardi at the wheel!)
PC Automotive/Lloyd/Chamberlain XJ220/C's
F40LM's
Pantera
911 GT2's
Vipers
Lister Storm/GTL
Harrier/Sintura
TVR Speed 12
Plenty of Diablo one make cars
Venturi's
Marcos LM500/600

Looking at the lowest class it would appear that TVR Tuscans and Marcos Mantis cars are elligible, of which there are a reasonable number of cars that could be tempted out.

There's still the mystery of the 911 GT1 that's under a sheet in the Lister workshop also... I wonder whether that will be coming out to play?

I've just seen the pics on DSC - it looks absolutely fantastic in its original livery.

So what have we got now?

ex-EMKA McLaren F1 GTR
two more unknown McLarens
Blue Coral Porsche GT1
BMS Porsche GT1
Marcos LM600
F40 GTE
Stealth B6
1 or 2 First Racing Lotus Elise GT1s
Up to 5 Venturis in various states of tune
Ferrari F355 challenge
TVR Tuscan
Several Marcos Mantis

sounds like a race to me!

Correct!

Any news on what we assumed was a Porsche GT1 in Laurence Pearce's workshop (it wasn't the Blue Coral Porsche by any chance, was it)?

Darren Dowling and I have entered my TVR Tuscan Challenge car in GT3. The GT1 cars are understandably getting the headlines, but I would be very interested to hear of the GT2 and other GT3 entries.

Well, as far as GT2 goes we have the LM600 (woohooo!!!), the Stealth, and Autosport also reports that Paul Daniels is entering a Porsche 911 GT2, so I presume we'll see a few more of those too. Not seen one for a few years so be a nice addition.

Anyone know of anything regarding Vipers or Listers on the entry list? I'd imagine there are plenty of GTS-R's lying around. Do Creation still have their Storm? I do wonder what year their car was built...

There's still some Vipers racing in some areas, so if there weren't any Vipers in this series, I'd be amazed.

Is that an XJ220 or a TWR XJ220S, the road going XJ220C replica?

Anyone know if Allen Lloyd still has his ex-Le Mans XJ220C, the car he ran in British GT in the late 90's, and then in Historic Group C?

That's one car I'd love to see back on track...

Giroix?? If that thing holds together he'll do very well I would've thought.

Good to see Ratel back in the seat after quite a while too.

How come a couple of later cars like 550 and 360 are on there?

I agree, Fabien Giroix is a pretty good pedaller. However, Paul Knapfield isn't completely hopeless, and neither are John Greasley and Nigel Barrett. All contenders for the win, I would say. It all depends how serious they are about it.

Other items of note - the Marcos is being run by Graham Nash Motorsport, who (as NCK) ran the car in British GT in the late 90s.

The Stroll McLaren is being run by Lanzante, who of course took a McLaren to overall victory at Le Mans in 1995. No idea if this is a long tail or short tail though.

The addition of the 550 and 360 is quite odd though - I would have thought these were well outside the remit of the series, since neither raced until this century.

Nice lineup!

I'm guessing the 550 is a very early example, and the 360 too. I presume the regs are about when the car was built rather than first raced? Some of the really early 550's and 360's may have been built in (very) late '99, making them eligable...?

Nice to see a Harrier around again, and two examples of the Stealth. Can't help thinking there must be more old GT2's lying around, though!?

Would be good to see an Ultima or two and maybe a Darrian GT! Maybe I shud try and get my Uni (Swansea Institute) to help run the Darrian again like they did back in the 90's

I think the Ferrari might be the N-GT spec 550 that first raced in the French GTs in 1999 - in that case it just sneaks in.

The first of the bigger 550s didn't arrive until 2000.

Still no idea about the 360 - there was no N-GT class in FIA GTs until 2000. The first 360s that raced in FIA GTs were little more than 360 Challenge cars - they didn't even have rear wings until part way through their first season.
