Good question.
In Toyota, there are no official works teams at all. However, Team Tom's can get a 1st treatment by substance. This is based on the results in the past solely. Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 20 Nov 2016 at 09:12. |

@Japanese Samurai (sorry i m not urging you , you share your thought for us)
In conclusion, all Lexus GT500 team are all privateer team or semi works team . For Nissan , Kondo Racing is privateer team and the rest of Nissan team are semi work team except Nismo . As Honda, Only, Team Mugen and Team Kunimitsu are works team or semi-work teams and other Honda team is privateer team right??? Speaking about ARTA , ARTA is the privateer team or semi work team for Honda team right??? |

Very very difficult problem!
In my opinion, there are no pure privateer teams in GT500 class. It's because they get great financial support from 3 manufacturers more or less. For example, all Nissan GT500 drivers have a contract with NISMO. NISMO send them to all Nissan GT500 teams. Team Bandoh (#19) calls itself privateer. However, according to Juichi Wakisaka, they get financial support equal to other Lexus teams since 2014. So I think all GT500 teams are at least semi-works team. |

Team Bandoh (#19) spent 700,000,000 yen as GT500 participation budget by 2011-2013 (including chassis/operation cost) in privateer era, according to Autosport magazine.

About "works team" definition,
Team Studie (#9) BOB Suzuki says on his blog that works team status doesn't mean BMW pays total budget. http://lineblog.me/studiebob/archives/9243285.html |

It means that BMW pay half of the total budget and Team Studie is responsible to pay other half of the total budget right??? |

I don't know the breakdown of the sponsor money.
What he means is that the works team also needs a sponsor! |

Interesting news.
Saitama Toyopet (Toyota dealership) will participate in Sepang 12h race by Mercedes (!) GT3 car. There was a rumor that Saitama Toyopet will participate in GT300 class by Mark-X Mother chassis car next season. They might use Mercedes GT3 car (AMG GT3?) for GT300 class next season. http://www.sepang12hours.com/newsitem.php?key=28 |

Doesn't rule out the possibility of using a different car in GT300 next season, though. Just means they're using a Mercedes SLS in Sepang. (More than likely, because Shogo Mitsuyama and his Adenau garage are on the team in Sepang.) It does seem odd for a team representing a Toyota dealership to run something that isn't a Toyota or a Lexus, but hey, that's racing™
APR, JLOC, HubAuto, GreenBrave all have a tall task ahead of them to win that race though. Audi and Porsche look unbeatable. |

CK Holdings Co., Ltd. (an investment fund) officially announces the commencement of tender offer bid of Calsonic Kansei today.
In a word, Calsonic will leave the Nissan group. Calsonic livery of Team IMPUL (#12) wouldn't be seen any more. |

Calsonic and Team Impul have been together for 34 years. Put this into perspective:
Marlboro and McLaren were together for 22 years. By the time Philip Morris's current sponsorship deal expires in 2018, they will have been together with Ferrari for the same length of time, 22 years. Gitanes and Ligier were together for 19 years. John Player Special and Team Lotus were together for 14 years. In NASCAR, STP and Petty Enterprises were together for 28 years, GM Goodwrench and RCR were together for 28 years, and DuPont/Axalta and Hendrick Motorsports were together for all 23 years of Jeff Gordon's career. In Australian Touring Cars, Shell and Dick Johnson Racing's first run together lasted 17 years. Marlboro and Holden Dealer Team, only 8 years. In IndyCar, Target and Ganassi were together for 26 years, and Marlboro and Penske were together for 16+ years. Calsonic have sponsored Team Impul for a longer period of time than, well, every other iconic motorsports sponsorship that you can think of. |

Here is the BMW M6 GT3 reports the link as shown as below:
http://bmw-m-heat.jp/event/20161117-3805.html 応援ありがとうございます。 より速く、より強くなってサーキットに帰ってきます。 熱い声援をありがとうございます。今年はBMW M6 GT3のデビューイヤー。No.7 Studie BMW M6とNo.55 ARTA BMW M6 GT3は優勝に表彰台と活躍しました。 必ず挽回して、来シーズンを素晴らしいものにしたいと思っています」 @Japanese Samurai(Sorry I m not urging you, I just share your thought with us) Can you please translate this three article as shown as above??? |

Thank you for your support.
We will return to the circuit with become faster and stronger. Thank you for your hot cheers. This year is the debut year of BMW M6 GT3. #7 Studie BMW M6 and #55 ARTA BMW M6 GT3 played an active role as a podium, and a victory. In the next season, the machine will continue to mature and it will be faster. We will surely respond to your expectations. Please continue to support us. Twin Ring Motegi is a difficult course to overtake. So 15th place in the qualifying was the defeat of the final race. Our race pace was not too bad. We need to improve match-up between Yokohama and BMW M6 GT3 so as to increase the qualifying speed and the durability in the race. It was a debut year for BMW M6 GT3. While the other team's GT3 machine had been matured for a year already. However, I didn't think trouble continued so much. It's also one of the factors that Japan is hot especially. Receiving such data, BMW Motorsport is working hard to improve the car. So next year it will be more reliable machine. Two BMW engineers are coming to the final round. We get BMW Group Japan and BMW support. And we have Jorgue Mueller and Seiji Ara as drivers. So this year's result can't be met at all. I think that the fans are also disappointed. I definitely want to recover and I hope to make the next season wonderful. |

So if Calsonic Kansei will leave the Nissan Group, then which company will sponsor Team Impul should CK Holdings Co., Ltd. said that they won't put their brand onto No. 12?

More than likely, Itochu Enex Co., the Japanese energy firm that sponsors IMPUL's Super Formula team, would step up to become their new title sponsor.

Unlikely.
That's a livery when Calsonic evacuated a title sponsor temporarily by a recession called "post Lehman shock." At that time, Calsonic had a will to return to the title sponsor soon. So Hoshino-san had kept the Calsonic-blue livery. But now, there are no guarantees to which Calsonic returns. |
