Funny that Mr Hamlin reckons Mr Van Gisbergen is unlikely to finish in the top 25 on points in Cup next year. The race results seem to improve on a second pass, as you might expect.

I watched Sandown on Sunday. After I took in some NASCAR from the Glen. I saw some of Shane in the Xfinity race, and than watched some highlight of the Cup race last night. The two series just looked night and day. Supercars is a bit like a kids thirteenth birthday party and NASCAR is like a stag night in Bangkok. Considering watching a full race Vs highlights. I feel Supercar went the wrong way with the new car, moving more to a GT3 spec car rather going more to a NASCAR style. The NASCAR races look more full on. The contact at highspeed with cars moving all around and getting loose but not fully disengaging is impressive, even the Xfinity cars.
I can't help but think 26 Cup cars running round the mountain in the few weeks time would be a better spectacle than what we will see. Relax the rulebook a touch and let them race. Less safety cars also, as the Cup car is a tank. It would be interesting what Shane thinks of the Cup car compared to the Superscars Gen 2 and 3 cars. |

A bad analogy perhaps, as the chance of you getting accosted by a ladyboy while watching NASCAR is about slim as finding a Kamala voter at a NASCAR race
