Autosport were suggesting that looked likely, yes (note - it was never confirmed); but that was before Russell's comments.

However Norris has now been announced for an F2 debut with Campos at Abu Dhabi, though he is still saying: "... I will either step up to Formula 2 or Super Formula in 2018 towards my goal of one day racing in Formula 1".

Well with Bernie gone, hopefully it won’t be too much trouble. He helped destroy a good few series, most notably the original WTCC and the original WSC

Funny how everything works out from time to time. Norris goes to Macau to run the GP, back to Abu Dhabi for GP2 then GP2 testing and then hops on a plane to get to Japan to run the Super Formula tests at Suzuka. Wonder how many other GP2/GP3 drivers will do the same?

Jp.motorsport.com reports foreign driver other than Boschung will participate in the December rookie test.
Lando Norris, and "an Indycar participated driver" are the rumored driver.

Tochu F1 express reports that Nirei Fukuzumi might participate in Formula 2 and Super Formula next season.
If this news is true, he must get a super license by all means.
