No CSCC Series is the "main event", they are all equally as important as each other. They rotate to get a similar number of "preferred" slots on the timetable during the season.

Most series are only racing once at Mallory on either the sunday or the monday. The Special Saloons are racing on both days so it makes sense for them to be the last race of the day on this occasion.

The Special Saloons are not the last race of the day, they are race 5, scheduled to start at 4.45 & finish at 5. After that are the sports v saloons with PBJ. The last race is due to finish at 5.30, so not a late meeting by any means. Plenty of clearing up time has been built into the meeting, so fingers crossed, should be a good day.

Pretty good weather today I thought?

Was great to meet Andy, Lee, and other from Tenths and some other guys for the first time like James.

Quote of the day from Mr Wilson:
"Ah chunty, yes, I thought you were a lot older than you are from what you post!!"

Cue much laughter!

Such a shame for the few guys who had problems that prevented them racing, but it was great to see most of them running in anger in the morning.

Ah yes, the green flag lap . . . "car 13 spun & continued" . . . my best radio message of the day! Let's hope it makes the video!

Thanks to everyone. Especially Andy, Lee, Steve, Pete, all the Marshalls, and organisers, and to all the people that came up to me and asked "Didn't you used to be Gerry Taylor"? Ha,ha.
The weather was kind too. To all the drivers who had a bad day, next time will be better, and to all those that had a good day, fantastic, you deserved it.
Loved every minute. Here's a picture, not very good, (but then I am using a 1970 gas camera) of some of the action.

Blimey Andy use those muscles of yours and tighten the thing lol! Only joking I used to have that happen on my Mini-Ford Hotrod engine. Gerry nice to see blue skies I was tempted to come and watch then see all the doom and gloom weather forcasts.

Awesome - just awesome

Wondered where you disappeared to, at least your screen stayed put this time though.

Both galleries are uploaded (separate for each day) too many favourites to pick a few for posting, will go through again and see if I can narrow it down - feel free to take a look HERE

See you all at Donington

Class E moved up from 1040cc to 1150cc like it was in the Modsports days.

Brands Hatch would be nice.

Drop Silverstone and Mallory, keep Castle Combe and Donnington and add Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Brands Hatch or Thruxton.

Robs idea of 1150cc being the smallest capacity class sounds good but forget having to go up one class if spaceframed as currently I don't think any monocoque fibreglass cars such as Davrians have to go up a class and they are probably easily as light as the spaceframe cars.

Also, if some of these other circuits don't allow two day meetings, maybe go down to a single race at some venues rather than the current double header format?

Please come to Brands! I had intended to come to Mallory but couldnt, and seeing as Brands is so close for me.....purely selfish reasons but it would be nice to see these great cars at the greatest (in my opinion....) track!

Cadwell and Brands for me please

Can't really comment too much on the class structure as I've missed the whole sodding season...

Had a great day down there with Dad and my brother on Sunday , Good to meet Lee Costello and see Tony Davies after about 25 years . Racing was really good with some great old and new cars.

The races seemed a bit short to me , think 25 minutes would be good. Other than that i think the series is awesome !!

Would love to see Brands and Oulton on the calender.

Rob...is your Imp Pat Manion's old car, i spotted an original Wendy Wools sticker ?

Cheers Dan

Thats what i meant Brian Cutting ... Have you seen the video i uploaded, Brian is having a good ol scrap with Peter Baldwin and Pat Manion in your car.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5a7f...7&feature=plcp

If all goes to plan our two cars might be reunited on track next season.
