There isn’t anything that can realistically be done about this. Nor is it really anything that NBC or the race series can be blamed for. The buffering and delivery will always have different lags. Not least because of the differing amount of data in each. It is potentially as much down to your set up as the rest of the process. For years we’ve been syncing timing, radio and TV. Radio Le Mans giving count downs so you can sync with the pictures! You’ve got it easy because you are just dealing with timing and one source of media. Use Timing71 and you can delay the timing. It’s ace. The only way to get truly live is to be there. Actually it’s not even live then due to the processing time of your brain. But that’s a different, albeit interesting, discussion on what is now. |

No Ferrari cause Ferrari claims 1 the car is too tough for anyone but factory to run, 2 they can't build any more, 3 to prove 2 wrong, they are building a Corsa Clienti non-race version of the car for sale. Plus they got what they wanted with their LM24 win last season. I doubt we will see any of the Hypercar reg based cars other than the hopeful Aston Martin program enter IMSA. I guess MAYBE Toyota with a Lexus program but is there much to gain for them there. They have the Lexus GT3 and the new car coming with the GT4 Supra and then NASCAR and NHRA running as well for US sales. |

IMSA "We will have total coverage of the record breaking lap out soon!"
I hope this means an onboard of Derani's lap. |

Lexus eats the f out of its tires though, they drop back longer it goes.
Looks like Ford haven't really used their cars and playing it like the GT again. Otherwise why would IMSA give them a few bricks to carry, Porsche got an extra brick too. They just went down the paddock to get them from Aston and McLaren who lost some. MB got weight break, power and wing. And everyone on FB IMSA page thinks it's more NASCAR loves Toyota but can't even name the car so that's great engagement there IMSA. |

Just looking at weather again for the weekend. Potential for fog is there, and we have seen some extended yellows or red flags in past years with fog. Hope that doesn't happen this year.

Dixon tops De Phillipi for GTP while the APR team leads LMP2 and Gradient Acura stayed atop the charts in GTD for the entire session with an early lap from Legge. Lexus fastest in Pro.

Practice 2 is now live with an LMP2 and GTD only portion to open but strangely not only open to the AMs?

Some random guy named Alex topped the timetables in FP2 with a 1:35.589. Indycar guys got a lot of seat time at the end of session.

The man knows how to shoot video
Practice 3 is red flagged. Riley LMP2 stopped. Don’t know why only looking at the race control messages. Gone green now, short stoppage. |

It'll take a few seconds to remember that's an oreca, and not the 2017 Riley

I don't want to say this, but there have been no major incidents for anybody in practice this week and with just one more session this morning, we may actually get all cars to the start!

Joe is interviewing Wayne Taylor on IMSA Radio and he sounds like they have already lost. Doesn't seem to think the Acura has the speed to compete with the other GTP cars. Mentioned that they could get lapped. Sounds a little dramatic to me, it is a long race with a lot of yellows coming, and conditions will be changing and who knows what will happen to the setup of all the cars.
