Yes, but they are two tracks hardly renowned for exciting races in the past.
Cheer up! Monaco is next! |

Boring yes, but I guess Alonso's fans out there are celebrating the best race in the circuit's history.

No overtaking there too! Still I am massively looking forward to it.
If cars could overake would we have seen much more today? The cars jsut spread out. ????????????????? Not to worry you'll all keep watching. Who's most at fault for you watching these dull races |

I can watch monaco whatever, it is exciting to watch during a procession. It is unique.
Just two weeks. And after that, another classic circuit. Silverstone. Then after that the American races, always action packed. |

Well for me F1 would be a lot nicer if something would dramatically change. Adjust monaco without chicanes. Adjust tracks just as long until they give good overtaking opportunities. How hard can it be to alter turn 1 at Barcelona and make it a proper 1st gear corner so people can overtake.
Last year at MOnaco a procession of cars slowed up to 4 seconds a lap behind ALonso and nothing happened. Its 78 laps of watchinga train of cars and in the end only Alonso can win and feel happy. If i was shumi and had to face another 78 laps of racing for a little 2 points gain id know my decision to quit at the end of the year would be big. Then to think we have France and Hungary to conquer, or Monza..Adam is right. Im gonna look for some different activities on sundayafternoons. |

Monaco was fantastic last year. Alonso showed great defensive skill for a number of laps, Heidfeld pulled out a quality move to get past and Webber got through too.
And then there was the rest of the action! Fantastic! It was a real slow burner, but once it got going it was something else. But if you can't enjoy it at any point, then stop watching. I hated todays race mainly, it was a real bore. But they can't all be exciting. |

I've seen the machines that dug out the Channel Tunnel. And they were less boring than today's race.

I dont intend to stop watching entirely..just the boring races that keep me from doing nicer things. Today I was out and came home about 10 minutes past 2 and didnt mind at all that i missed the start. Next week il be on vacation and unless it rains in Monaco, im not gonna watch it.

They bored for a living. They could bore internationally. They were the biggest boring things I have ever seen. And all they did was bore and bore and bore and bore and bore.
And they were still less boring than the Spanish GP. |

The boring pun has now got a little boring. Can you worm your way out of using it too much?

To be totally honest, if you stay in front the TV, anything is boring.
Try some radical sports. or... An interesting company. |

Well, as they say, when you're in a hole, stop digging. I can see that my posts are not of a high enough calibre. So I'll just bunker off. For a bit.

I think it is so bad it may well be having an effect down the line, anyone seeing this 'spectacle' on TV and not a dye in the wool motorsport fan would never bother to watch a clubbie where they would see some proper action, I made a post on the subject in Trackside here. http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...referrerid=770

Many people who post on ten-tenths and attend motor races probably got their first taste of motorsport action from F1 on the TV. F1 is the only motorsport a lot of casual sports fans will watch, so if it becomes/has become dull to watch then it really could have a knock on effect to other forms of motorsport. I got in to motorsport from seeing F1 races in the early 80s, now my big thing is sportscars/Le Mans, but I wouldn't have discovered this if F1 hadn't got me hooked in the first place.
I used to settle down to watch F1 races with a sense of excitement, now I watch it with a sense of dread. These days I expect a dull race and am pleased when there is a good one. Sometimes I watch almost out of a sense of duty - as a motorsport fan that really shouldn't be the case for the pinnacle of the sport. |
