It will be interesting to see how that AER stacks up against the Toyota in the Rebellions.

That is the part of the COTA round I am looking forward to most. It has been said in the media to be the real deal, but until it runs in anger vs competition you just never know for sure.

The aging Toyota powerplant is probably the weakest link of the R-One package so they should be close ish power wise. This little privateer battle and their relation to the works teams is indeed the most interesting aspect for me too... that and the lap / straight line speed differences to USCC
Wonder if they have ambitions for second car next year, LMP2 had two Kodewas |

Except the Toyota was redone for Rebellion this year. The weak part is these are a private teams with low resources. So even with the most powerful engine, they still would be somewhat slower than the factory cars.

Trash bin?
There was an article couple of months ago where ADESS AG representative said they were still in court with Kodewa in regard to those cars. Quote:
I wasn't really comparing it to the works engines though, but to the package as a whole, and now against other privateer |

I would have thought all the cars would have arrived at the track by now. But I suppose picture could have been taken earlier and then released later

It was James Rossiter who posted it. Probably an older picture.

Considerations of second car next year (which was to be expected)
http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/b...e-other-lmp1s/ The team, meanwhile, is exploring the option of expanding to a two-car operation in 2015, as well as the possibility of selling cars to customers. Bouchut also saying how much L-BoP helped to bring AER to life which is interesting. Also that while they should be now more on the pace, further adjustments are needed. Now while I hope ACO acts accordingly to the gao between works and privateer cars in the future, I do wish it doesn't turn into LMGTE race-by-race tweaking war Last edited by Deleted; 17 Sep 2014 at 21:19. |

Do we know for sure the Lotus was able to make the lower weight? And remind me what the minimum lmp-l weight is now?

800kg for LMP1-L. It better be at that weight if theyre to be competitive, which Bochut believes- http://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/b...e-other-lmp1s/
