Me and Mrs Delta went out this evening. She crashed into me and went down. Couple of passers by were most concerned and offered her help back up. I could not stop laughing and after 2 hours she is still not talking to me. Happy days.

Delta you're definitely a happy bunny! Last time my wife crashed her bike, all by her fault, she talked to me quite a lot. Being a foreigner she used at least three different languages but the message was clear. Very clear…*
Have fun and be safe you all! |

Have a great day today everyone! Thinking of you from down here in Dorset. Or more appropriately thinking of Mike and his cheery smile and welcome.
Reading these comments about cleats maybe I should wish you all "Happy Landings" instead of Happy Days Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk |

Well I'm afraid I missed the supplementary regs and fitted the wrong cleats. But sadly my cunning plan was to no avail because Alan fitted a pair of flat pedals to my "loan bike".
So we all sped off at varying speeds on a route that only Alan really knew. It was excellent fun and an apt way to remember Mike. Sunshine, great countryside and hills, lots of hills! Well done to Alan and Iain for organising, Gill, Rebecca, Tom and Iain's son whose name isn't Dave. Great to talk to Mary and Dave, Dave, Dave and of course Dave. Thanks to Bob for the photos. And Cliff, MG David, John, Alan and all who turned up to take part. I may have missed some names so my apologies but thanks all for a wonderful day. |

All riders finished the course, and there were no punctures or other malfunctions. It was sunny all the way, and everyone claimed to have enjoyed it. Following behind with Marys husband in a nice car, I have to say I had little difficulty except when trying to stand up. Lots of pictures to trawl through, so watch this space.
Thanks to Iain for the bacon rolls, burgers and sausages. A Grand Day Out. Mike would have been proud of them all, especially of Daniel Ryan, and John Emberson who cycled home, some 40/50 miles. I am sure once they have recovered, there will be more storied of derring do. Bauble. |

A very enjoyable ride in perfect weather through beautiful countryside. Interesting to see Bauble "the ladies man" in action.
The only real problem was poor Tom who had the misfortune to be accompanied by a wasp inside his T-shirt for a while, with painful consequences. There seems to be a general feeling that we should do it again next year. Oh - and John Emberson's Bianchi Oltre XR4 is literally my dream bike, right down to the SRAM wireless groupset. |

A stunning looking bike, but a tad expensive at £6,800.

I have to say that today was one of the most enjoyable days i have ever had.I got down to Delta HQ around 7 .30 this morning and started sorting out bikes and bacon rolls. I was joined by Graham "tenths lurker and ex Fiesta racer and race car engineer " just after 9am , I am still amazed at some of the new friends you make via this forum.
Around 10.15 everyone was just about ready to set of when a car pulled up and what a lovely surprise to see John "Dave " and Catherine Emberson. Alan appointed me team leader of group 2 as I knew the route. . The real Dave and Bob were in the team support car and kept popping up around the course taking photos. " Thanks for coming along Bob". Alan arranged a lovely route"thank you Al" and we all ended up at my favorite pub the king William in Ipsden. I cant think of ever having a better day, just the best people ,lovely weather and with all my family as well" Mrs Delta has forgiven me for knocking her off her bike last night ". Mike has moved on but today he gave us a very special event one that we must continue and David has suggested we start from their place in Hungerford next year.Looking forward to it already. Thank you everyone and Yes Mike would of been chuffed |

Thanks Iain, Alan & family team Delta for organising a great day out, even for me as rear gunner - Mike would have been chuffed!
I had a small off on one of our unscheduled stops when I forgot I had toe straps, luckily it was a soft landing. Daniel arrived home about 10 minutes after me and then went out for dinner after riding home, I’m absolutely knackered and going nowhere other than bed. Looking forward to next year already, hopefully not as rear gunner next time. |

I saw a post from John Emberson on Strava, congratulations on making the ride happen, I wish I could have joined to celebrate Mike but not possible. Well done again.

i was coming down but fell off trying to get on it !
Actually I'm in Weymouth so it would have been a bit of a trek. I hope you old boys don't ache too much and I'm sure that Mike is looking down and having a laugh at some of you puffing away |

A few pictures from the 'Start' by Tenths lurker Peter O;
Thanks Peter (I expect Iain calls him Dave); I will post a link to Peter's album later, some great images. |
