Nicki thiim will drive one of the petrol VW Scirocco cars, will be exciting to watch. Kurt Thiim will drive the Nissan 350Z from last year.

Living in the US, all I can really see racing wise is formula 1, ALMS, and a whole lot of nascrap. I was wondering if there will a webcast or live stream of the race that I could check in on throughout the race. I know these sort of things are usually only discovered as the race progresses and someone posts a video and I don't even know if its on tv in europe but any help would be nice.

If I remember well there's a live video stream (except for the night hours) since 2007.

Definitely. If anyone can stop the Audis it's Manthey and I think they will do just that.

More disappointing news though as Mamerow Racing (winners of the second VLN round) have decided to skip the 24h race due to funding problems. One potential winner less. Also, I don't know if it has been discussed yet, the ADAC has issued a new bulletin that states they will continute the "balance of performance" up until the start on Saturday. So expect the slowing-down tactics to continue all the way through Practice and Qualyfying. |

Wolfgang Kaufmann will drive for VW Motorsport with Sainz and Depping. He will substitute de Villiers, who is injured.

New ADAC bulletin: The Audi R8s have to add 20kg of ballast but their rev-limit has been raised from 7500rpm to 8500.
That's performance balancing at work..... |

Alzen's team is looking pretty good now. With Mamerow's withdrawal, he's grabbed Lance Arnold. Christopher Mies, who was impressive in an Audi R8 at Silverstone, has joined Arnold, Bert and Alzen.
So we can expect an interesting fight between the Manthey Porsches, Audis, V12 Aston Martins, Alzen Porsche, Jurgen Alzen Hankook Porsche, Frikadelli Porsche, Alpina BMWs (perhaps), Muhlner Porsches, Vulkan Vipers, the Aussie VIP Porsche and the Kissling Corvette. The SP6 BMW Z4 with D. Muller and Farfus is a bit too off the rest to fight for a win, you think? The Priaulx/J. Muller M3 is in SP10 (GT4) so they're probably too far off to challenge other than in their own class. |
