Great pic, anyway, Iain
Richard, why don’t you look at going back to your rally routes, albeit the circuit rallies? A good “halfway house” between racing and rallying. There are enjoyable events at 3 Sisters kart track 2/3 times a year as well as 2/3 rallies at Anglesey, so in your neck of the woods.
Good fun and good vfm.
I am at 3 Sisters again in the Escort on 10 Oct. (my avatar pic was taken at 3 Sisters)

Getting off-topic, but I did one of the Oulton Park circuit rallies a couple of years ago in the sillyseat of a 205 GTi, but unfortunately the gearbox exploded as we went over Deer Leap (anti-clockwise)..... I never really enjoyed the single-venue events back in the day unless on some of the larger events, like one we ran at Binbrook where we got some long stages strung from the complex layout.

I'll see if I can get over to 3 sisters in October.

Seat fitting today. I can confirm it fits.

Spent a very happy few hours with David, Iain and others who we will all join next weekend. Saturdays are made for this.

We are No. 36 in the race. I've carried that number whenever I can since I started racing. Warming up for next weekend.

Great to hear that Gilbert rides again in competent hands, I didn't know Mike that well but did speak to him a couple of times in the paddock and feel sure he'd be proud, go well guys.

Not much to do now. I have said this before ,Mike had done a lot of good work on Gilbert after the last time we raced at Spa. The forecast could be wet so this will play into our hands.
Peter,Dave and I will keep you up to speed as to how the weekend is going. Very excited.

Best of luck to the 'Gilbert Gang' at Spa. I had hoped I might be there, but it is not possible now for various reasons. Hopefully next year...

Very kind of you to say so, Peter! If you remember, it was Spa 6H where we first met however many years ago.

What was the problem with the journey? Eco rabble on the M25? The weather here has been pretty good, if a little chilly. Iain will need his kwossants warmed up!!
